  • Nice vid work as well! yeehaw!

  • i see, good job!

i thought a water cooler would be too heavy, with is 20 gallons of coolant. we in europe mostly use air-cooled ones.

but seeing that one can't go very fast on country roads, so no air cooling, and that a pick-up has lots more space and carrying capacity, i guess a water cooler is the better option.

nice job, you get about without paying for gas! everyone's dream! keep at it!

  • a question?

would it be too heavy for a normal car? cause 20 galons coolant alone, that's heavy...

oh, and does that straw-shavings filter do the job? would stone wool do the job as well?

  • You have built the best stuff!!! =-)

  • i love the wood gas truck you built you built

i have question will woodgas work on newer model pickup trucks like maybe for

    example a 2010 ford F150?

  • oldplaner and every one can you help me with some advice for my wood gas project it is in my videos

  • where can i get he drawings you did for this. i cant make out the writing on my laptop, it's too small

  • Hows bout adding a hho generator, like a cid cell to improve MPG

    Looks like so much fun

    Great job!!!

  • hho generators don't work never have never will, look up roy mcalister and learn what works and what is just hocas pocas

  • Cool -Keep going..!

  • Cool!! an old guy on my job site told me when he was a kid during ww2 that the german soldiers had trailers behind their trucks filled with wood converting it to alcohol powering the trucks !! now I know he was telling the truth!!

  • Thanks all for your comments and encouragement.I really enjoy driving the woodgas truck.

    L33TFoomaster,

The heat is taken away from the cooler but the heat from the hot gas leaving the reduction zone in the gasifier is used to preheat the combustion air coming in through the 16 air tubes.

If you go to woodgas , net,you can see good clear diagrams of the whole system.

  • great work! i do have a few questions tho... when you run your syngas thru the heat exchanger, what do you do with the heat? is it simply exhaust heat or do you recycle it into the intake air for the gasifier?

i suggest recycling the heat as the chemical reactions in the gasifier will regulate the temps, so you could get the gasifier started much faster.

also, what type is your gasifier? as in downdraft, updraft, etc...

thanks in advance, again GREAT WORK!

  • Would it make enough to power say a home sized gen,we have a lot of power outages where I live, anyway good vid and keep it up.Tec

  • awesome pics at the end..you should write a book of your expertise: I'd buy it! Woodgas is a serious slice of the 'alternative pie'. It took 9 years to send a man to the moon, it could take 9 years to bankrupt OPEC.

  • GOOD JOB MAN....

  • Fantabulous!!!

  • thanks for sharing
