Incredible. Far out, fellas! If ya've any remote cultivated mind, one's amazed simply with the voices. I bet Prof. Beethoven will enjoy up there where he's.
There is another version of this with English subtitles and more information on the group. Look for the video called "Beethoven Symphony No.5 Parody (English subbed)"
A vocal group in Japan took Beethovens 5th symphony and made a vocal interpretation. But instead of just singing it, they added a little parody. A family discusses what theyre eating for breakfast (asagohan). They discuss many options ("maze gohan" is mixed rice "shiro gohan" is white rice). Every time they are about to reach an agreement, some other idea sparks and they start over again. In the end, they discussed for so long that the breakfast time is over, and it is time to prepare lunch.
THIS IS SO LULZY XD lol. Chotto Matte! Chotto Matte! *Sonano*. Those ass holes XD Steal his mushroom rice away from him =p It's funny since through there arguing they miss out on Asagohan! *all in song form too :3*
its funny cuz they cant agree on what to eat, but when they finally do, they start arguing again! if you listen 'hirugohan' means lunch. they argue soo much that it becomes lunch time! someone should make an english version or at least post lyrics!
My Japanese friend Ami has said that they are arguing about what to eat for breakfast: "asa gohan" is Japanese for "breakfast". Apparently some want pure rice, others rice with vegetables and mushrooms etc - the lyrics are funny!
Amazing! These guys are soooo good and funny, even though I don't get a word of what they are saying. This proves to me that music is a language that goes way beyond words. Simply spectacular!! I love it!!
The threesome spend so much arguing about what to order for breakfast (asagohan) that the restaurant kicks them out, telling them that breakfast is no longer served, it's time to prepare for lunch (hirugohan).
Mom and daughter decide to share two meals, one with white rice and one with matsutake rice, and they sing some more about all the "gorgeous" side dishes and which ones they're getting, with out hesitation. Dad complains WAIT WAIT WAIT - you two are gonna share between just you (yep), and then I'm only get to eat the matsutake meal (yep, just that).
HIRUGOHAN (lunch time) -- the time for serving breakfast is over.
We'll be open and serving lunch in a little while.
Hmm. Dropped a line about "what should I should I pick" ...& am giving up on a full translation, because I have the flu and I am not fluent, but I can give a brief synopsis.
How come there are all these gorgeous side dishes, It's decided we'll have white rice.
Mattake Gohan! (matsutake is a very expensive mushroom/delicacy in Japan). There's only enough for two orders. Dad wants some, fights with the family about who gets what kind of rice...
(the order is backwards and my translations aren't great, but here is the second bit) Masaka! (come on) if something else doesn't come along with it, its not good! - No! (it would be) bad / "iya!" (Father) Okazu (side dishes), what are they? (Staff) kyuuri sunomono (cucumbers in vinegar); iced hiya-yakko (cold tofu); mame tsukudani (beans simmered); miso soup w/boiled daikon radish; dried anchovy in dashi; two egg rolls; boiled potatoes; and to finish; salmon maw; yakizakana (grilled fish)
1st bit. (inexact) Asagohan (Breakfast) Asagohan (Breakfast) Together - Lets eat - Breakfast Delicious - Lets eat Breakfast Service Teishoku (set boxed meal) Service Teishoku Morning meal service set is..600yen! Maze-gohan! In the morning, rice mixed with things like meat and vegetables is maze-gohan. Without something mixed in, its shiro-gohan (white, regular rice.) Does miso soup come also? Are pickles included also? "masaka..."! (no way, you can't be serious, come on)
I only speak a little Japanese, but literally speaking..."asa" means morning, and "gohan" can mean rice or in this case food. So "asa gohan" means breakfast. They mention all kinds of different foods to eat for breakfast eg. fried eggs, miso soup, white rice, etc. I think it means they take so long to decide what they want to eat, that the waiters and waitresses are already talking about serving lunch. Can someone who speaks Japanese correct this for me if wrong?.

For those of you looking for an English translation, it's somewhere on YouTube. Search for Asagohan English subbed.
It's a crapper picture but the music is still first rate and the words are there.

They're only saying that now that the breakfast is finished, they're closing to prepare for lunch, i.e., the "concert" is finished. Hope that helps.
