I wish Mitsuru Sutoh was still around in T-Square. His bass playing is superb. I feel like this new bassist at the current time of the video was a bit below his level of playing. Still good. Just not as good I think.
sometimes we fail to just sit back and enjoy what the musician does....I am one and I know how hard it is NOT to find fault..BUT we all need to jes relax and enjoy the effort and music ...this is a cool chart..and it FLOWS....................really well..
No hard feelings, but i sometimes think that he can't even slap at all. And what to this particular song, look out for its Levr Technic Series version and you'll see that Shingo Doesn't play many notes that Mitsuru does.
its a difference in style, and difference in improvisational ideas.....why does michael brecker play less note than john coltrane in "giant steps"? is michael brecker sucks?

And after all, didn't Michael Brecker play with Casiopea (on their 1979 Debut Album?)
RaldyV 2 years ago
@RaldyV well yes, but michael brecker is much more renowned than casiopea....
ddoggycanada 2 years ago
Unfortunately, Casiopea deserves much more recognition.
