Why aren't Hamas attacking Jordan, where the rest of Palestine is? Could it be because they'd all just be killed out of hand, why the press looked the other way.

After World War 2, the area being possessed by Arabs, known as Palestine was where it is now and a large chunk of Jordan. But the Arabs squatting in Palestine don't ask for the large junk of Jordan back, because a)the Jordanian Arabs wouldn't listen, and b) it's all about Arab/Islamic hatred of Jews and all things none Islamic, not about land at all. The Muslim world could have helped out the Arabs squatting in Palestine years ago, but chose not to, because it's better propaganda.

There is no such race as the Palestinians, they are all Arabs. Palestine was designated as being part of what is now Jordan by the British, they became Jordonian Arabs presumably. The point is why aren't the Palestinians demanding the rest of Palestine back? Lets face it there isn't one liberal Islamic democracy, even their fellow Muslims (Egypt) build fences to keep them out (didn't see the Left protesting about that ?), they can't even stop killing each other, amazing.

The firing of those rockets by Hamas was a war crime, but any Isreali condemnation of them, while justified, is not principled. One can't speak of "security" when one is also violently occupying or laying besieging someone else. One issue gets forgotten in all of this: the security of Palestinians.
