I have some guys that are taking out the grox. They started off in he middle and worked their way out, all my colonys are T2 or T3 and they all have Uber Turrets on them.
@RefreshGhost I never use allies because they always die and it decreases your relationship with them. So I find it wiser to never have allies so I can beat the crap out of the Grox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its easier 2 just be a zealot in the space stage and use ur special ability 2 conquer the planet. i was doing this 2 each grox planet and then my spore game shat on my chest. that was a sad day. :(
my most evil race is in a giant war with the grox, its the pyrok and honestly i don care if the others go to war with me i can go wipe them and take over them
LOL at step 5. (not arguing your method, but i find it funny how you just showed a tedious process that takes AGES to do for a single planet and then just say "Now do it again a couple thousand more times and that should do it! :D" )
I have an easy way to make sure your planets are easy to defend. As you know uber turrets are powerful and a big help when defending against the grox. The game only lets you put one on every planet you colonize, but I glitched out my game when I was in a hurry to blow up some other civilization. Now, on every new planet I colonize, I can put down as many uber turrets as I want. When I discovered this I ended up With 9 in all on just ONE planet... I dont think thatt colony is going anywhere. :)
An Anti-Matter bomb on that little Grox colony is insane overkill. One Mega Bomb to the city hall would destroy the whole colony. Also, I don't think I'll be putting a colony on every single Grox planet I conquer. It'll probably be more like 1 out of every 50 planets I destroy the Grox on.
how long does it take for you to take out the grox? i mean seriously dont they have more than 5000 star systems or something? and arent some spots just unreachable?
@Glitchfinder my mistake i meant to say that they have more then 5000 planets. at least that is what i read on spore wiki, and they have 2400 star systems :P
@Glitchfinder have you ever tryd detrsoying your empire i have a colony is automaticly placed on your homeworld but i havent tryd blowing it up with planet busters xD
@zambelimama If I wanted all of the other sentient species nearby to declare war on me, then I would. But I don't like it when allies do that, so I tend to avoid the planet buster.
@zambelimama dude when you ''beat'' space mode ( reach the galactic core) they give you 40 of an item that makes the planet terraform instantly to T3 and the grox can only live in T0 so terraform is the way to kill them
Fly to a Grox colony pop your shield while you sitting on the town hall and wait for all the ships to crowd around you then... ANTIMATTER BOMB! it kills not only the town but the ships too and your shield protects you
@Tezdude9 2300 systems, to be exact. As for the only solution, it isn't. You can also try allying with them, which means that every other species in the galaxy immediately declares war on you.
@Glitchfinder So, my choices are, going to all 2300 star systems just to blow up a couple cities, or have every other empire declare war on me. There is probably more empires than there are Grox Colonies, oh boy!!! This is a tough decision... CURSE YOU GROX!!!!
@Tezdude9 Or you could do what most people do, and mostly just ignore the choice. It's actually easier than most people realize to make a run for the core when the Grox are hostile.
@Glitchfinder but the grox is the most powerfull being in the galaxy right? then ill just allay with them, destroy every other galaxy with their ships for help etc... and then buy all their galaxy's >:D??
I tried to be allied with the grox but it was so damn hard so I thought it was easier to kill them all x) if you use the planet buster on a groxplanet so is no other race in the galaxy mad at me I noticed :p
@kiwizproductions You can't see each other in Online. Online is just for sharing your houses, vehicles and creatures. (And adventures, if you have Galactic Adventures)
Rather than all this stuff that you do in this vid, I found its WAY easier and cheaper to just use the mega bomb and drop it right in the middle of their colonies, then run like hell and hit the next one, healing the other ships follow shooting. the only problem becomes stocking up on mega repairs. I just keep bombing their systems, I can probably take one out every 30 sec, then basically keep them away from any wormholes that lead near your own colonies.
@TheRepoman62 Not really, but I tend to. This makes it easier when you run out of patience and run for the core, since you end up at the last colony you visited when you die. Once you make it into the core, getting back out is a snap, assuming you're running a fully updated game.
My strategy is to alie them, buy out some of there planets in the core planets, then start the war. that way you got the stff of lifes and u can also already get some coliones that can woop some ass on ut side before u start to battle them.
im not trying to say your method is bad but just let me tell you it sucks, its just better to destroy a world of them, terraform the planet to t2 or t3 and put a monolith in there, a new empire will grow there, after allie them and after ask them to attack grox worlds, youll see how easy you will destroy them, i did it for 5 days an finally i destroyed them all xD
lol, I made the grox really pissed by destroying their city on the star system nearest to the core, and I put 3 fully guarded colonies, a super turret, and the happiness booster and co...they always try to attack the sytem but I always win XD
@martha368 You can actually ally with the Grox. However, if you do that, all other space stage empires in your galaxy immediately declare war on you, so you can expect to have a significant amount of trouble getting back to your empire, and even more trouble defending it.
well i got though beating the grox took alot of time and you get a badge for beating them its the secret one show a grox on a paper dead./ if you make friends with them you get a badge saying dancing with the devil badge....for your info its alot much easier to make friends with grox but once you do every one in the galaxy will hate you! i almost lagged out with all of the commutation thing saying we are now your enemy! good luck to you all
@carzdude1000 I'm pretty sure we've gone over that in earlier comments. Also, I recently discovered that it is now entirely possible to beat the grox, since the latest patch will allow you to reach those unreachable planets near the core, once you have earned the staff of life.
@Dennga94 What isn't a glitch? If you're talking about the fact that a computer controlled species can only attack one inhabited planet in any given system, then I'm pretty sure it is. (Once that planet is destroyed, the species treats the system as uninhabited but uninhabitable)
for all who at war wit t grox i found another way u could attack the center of the galaxy n attak outward it will b a little eiser than attakin from the outside
@Themisfitboys I'm not entirely sure, at this point. However, I know they can colonize when you ally with them and have them attack other empires, so I suppose it is possible.
I'm not saying your way is the wrong way, I'm just saying there is a much easier way. Once you start killing off them terraform their planets to T1 and start placing the plants and animals needed to stabilize it. Then place a monolith on the planet and eventually it will reach space stage. Set up an alliance with them and ask them to fight the grox. Keep doing this on all the planets you come into contact with and eventually they will destroy the grox.
@jokesterpants I agree that that is a better way, but it is not necessarily an easier way, considering the fact that it takes much longer to follow this method.
It would be easy, fast but expensive to just blow up their planets... but then your allies would start to hate you. if you have lots of money and no allies, try to do that!
I know, I don't hack or use mods I only cheat wifh console, but I think have another way to do it, terraformating? Nah.. check out my video, that's what I am doing
glitchfinder, I think your an experient spore player, and I am only a pricipiant, I think we, together, can fing a way to beat the grox wifhout killing all the 2.400 planets.
But then you don't get achievements. And let's face it, there is STILL a bug that can lock out achievements for all planets on your computer, so long as one of them is cheated. It won't happen every time, but it happens often enough.
i LOVE antimatter bombs. I got most of the grox planets either busted or cratered from antimatter bombs. btw, 99% of all other civilizations HATE ME. imma warmonger thru and thru. I AM MORE HATEFUL THAN THE GROX THAT IS WHY I CALL MY CREATURE "HATER".
ok really thats bullshit! uber turrets does not keep the grox from attacking ur planets ive about 30 solar sytems i got the staff of life and i have uber turrets on all my planets and they still invade about every 2 to 3 minutes and they attack about 2 planets a time and every time they do a crap load of damage even with the uber turrets i had to leave that game cuz i coudlnt take it!!!!!!!!!!
I never said the uber turrets keep the grox from invading. Their sole purpose is to keep the invaders from destroying the planet before you get there. Combine that with three colonies that each have the maximum number of turrets, and you have a solid defense. Admittedly, the grox will beat it. But it takes them longer. As for the multiple invasions: play an easier mode, or don't enter a war with them until you can actually protect yourself.
yeah i no that about little empires i never bother with them when it says there attacking im like whatev but i cant ignore the grox its every 2 to 3 minutes and its always more than 1 planet they attack i had to abanden that game cuz it wasnt worth and i dont bother getting the staff of life any more cuz thats when they harrass u
The colonize several planets in every system. Due to an error in game mechanics, empires can't conquer a system if there is more than one colonized planet in the system. Even after destroying a planet, the grox won't go back to that system until that planet is recolonized.
How is that cheating? Try it yourself, and you'll see that it works that way. In fact, if I remember correctly, the Gamefaqs guides that cover terraforming recommend doing just that.
lol i don't know. i just thought that the game wasn't meant to be played that way, but if it says in the guide i guess its okay. i wouldn't know cause i never look in there. and it does work for me.
my homeworld has only 3 cities left. I haven't found the Grox yet but this one war i had really hurt my homeworld.
here is something weird. when i started the game there were 2 other empires who were the same species as me AND had the same name as me!!! I got rid of them all so I would be the only one. those wars left my homewprld with 3 or 4 cities left!
Have you ever conquered or bought the home planet of another civilization? All that happens if you do that is that another planet gets designated as your homeworld instead.
Yes. With the staff of life, you can take out 1.75% of their planets. In other words, you can destroy 42 of their planets. Really, the staff of life isn't a solution here.
how do i get that cuz im gonna get dance with the devil betray them by blowing up all their planets with planet buster and cheats and hell a lot of allie ships
also i figured out that it would be better if you made a good relationship with them and then use zealot (cheating makes it way faster) but if they ask you to do a mission and to bring them a specimen or to eliminate i woulndt do that cause they are just asking you to do that so they can colonize there, evil little people, but just make a good relationship AND DONT DROP THE ZEALOT ON THE CITY cause then it goes down -99 saying ur using harmful things. hop ethis helps ( dont use it near someon)
so what you are saying is that the grox cannot enter your colony if its t-score is above 0?? I dont rlly think thats true caues they attacked my home planet and well........its t-3. Also i have a question if i take over a grox planet and i change it to t-3 will my land spread just as my allied are spreading???
That isn't exactly true. The whole definition of a cyborg is a living being with technology as part of their body. By that definition, they already exist, such as the people who have had their sight restored by using implants.
I'm pretty sure that unless they changed something in that expansion pack, it does not break Galactic Code. Still, don't take my word on that one, as I'm not entirely certain.
Actually, I did that in the video editor. Otherwise, the video would have been much longer, and much more boring. In retrospect, I probably should have sped it up a little more.
Hehe, your strategy is the same one I do whit the planets I conquer.
Iv allied whit them and now I shall destroy them, thus receiving the two medals. (Galactic genocide, lulz.)
Also, to have colossal amounts of money, use a thing called "Farming Spice" basically is just terraforming 10 or 15 neighbor planets, all of them T3 whit 3 colonies and whit a Spice Storage.
Do regular visits to them and sell to the highest price, in less than an hour you should have 20+ Million Spore Dollars.
Yes, but, as I've mentioned before, you only get 42 of these per species, meaning that they aren't the most useful tool for removing the thousands of Grox worlds.
if my i play on th disk does the detail show better like the fire cause i have that i dont need the disk to play and if i put the disk in,the disk wont play.
You have to fill all of the ecology slots with species of the correct type. Once you get them filled, the t-score will settle down after a little while.
In my relationships with other aliens, it always says "Broke Galactic Code" What is that? It started when I used my ability to wipe out a planet's structure's. (I used it on a Tribal Planet if that helps)
That means that you have eliminated a sentient species, either through use of the planet buster, or through other methods. I'm not sure, but it might be any use of the planet buster, and not just on sentient species. Also, if you do this near the Grox worlds, they will like you more, as long as you don't do it to them.
so grox like me to destroy other species? it says on the mad red face -200 destroyed one of they're solar systems, -20 breaking galactic code, +30 bombing one of my colonies. (lol... yea... >_>) pleez halp!!1!
1. Planet Buster: using it on any planet makes otheres around u hate ya.
2. Scientist special ability: Destroys the planets surface so u can make way for your spcies.
and finally my favorite.
3. the Zealots special power that conquers any planet at your desire (has to be a colonized 1) Anyw more questions about spore? :) :D Im so addicted! lol
I've never actually tried that. I'm not entirely certain, but I think you can still play. The reason being you you have to cause an alliance in both games to get the related achievement, instead of just one. If you want to try, go ahead.
well i was thinking of playing a prank and making my friend think i blew up the planet i let him make by sending him a vid of me using planet buster but if it acctually blows it up then i dont wanna ruin his game

I'm not entirely certain, since I've stopped playing. Still, that was an error last time I was playing, which is why the note is there.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
can you make friends with them?
1LostMy0therAccount 2 years ago
Yes, you can. But if you do that, every other race in the galaxy immediately declares war on you.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
lol bad idea then
1LostMy0therAccount 2 years ago
doing that until they dont exist????? wtf is wrong with you that would take FOREVER!!!!!
3d834 2 years ago
I know, I don't hack or use mods I only cheat wifh console, but I think have another way to do it, terraformating? Nah.. check out my video, that's what I am doing
Leetrini 2 years ago
glitchfinder, I think your an experient spore player, and I am only a pricipiant, I think we, together, can fing a way to beat the grox wifhout killing all the 2.400 planets.
Wanna do it?
Leetrini 2 years ago
Well, short of cheating or hacking the game, there is no easy way to do this. And even with cheating, it's still difficult.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
I have samething mostly easy.
1- open console
2- write: setconsequencetrait space_zealot
3-go to the center of the galaxy using "refill motives" on the console
4-use the terraformating and the beneficy of space_zealot on grox planets
5- domine grox :D
Leetrini 2 years ago
But then you don't get achievements. And let's face it, there is STILL a bug that can lock out achievements for all planets on your computer, so long as one of them is cheated. It won't happen every time, but it happens often enough.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
i LOVE antimatter bombs. I got most of the grox planets either busted or cratered from antimatter bombs. btw, 99% of all other civilizations HATE ME. imma warmonger thru and thru. I AM MORE HATEFUL THAN THE GROX THAT IS WHY I CALL MY CREATURE "HATER".
murdock328 2 years ago
at 2:23 it sounds hilarious!
Pichuzpokemon 2 years ago
Is there a faster way? Although i have maximum health, i still die...
laptopkid101 2 years ago
yeah, cheat
fubbyquacker 2 years ago
Just a waste of my time
i
branstan100 2 years ago
yah this wont take a billion years because the grox have exactly 2400 planets
sodakid1919 2 years ago
2400?!?!? how does any1 do it?!
fubbyquacker 2 years ago
@fubbyquacker I don't how but if you turn 2400 backwards it's 0042.
Pichuzpokemon 2 years ago
i love step 5... means repeting this 2 minute sped up video about 5-6 thousand times.. yeah ok
warmachine94 2 years ago
Actually, there are only around 2,300-2,400 Grox planets in the galaxy.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
ok really thats bullshit! uber turrets does not keep the grox from attacking ur planets ive about 30 solar sytems i got the staff of life and i have uber turrets on all my planets and they still invade about every 2 to 3 minutes and they attack about 2 planets a time and every time they do a crap load of damage even with the uber turrets i had to leave that game cuz i coudlnt take it!!!!!!!!!!
AwsomeKevo 2 years ago
I never said the uber turrets keep the grox from invading. Their sole purpose is to keep the invaders from destroying the planet before you get there. Combine that with three colonies that each have the maximum number of turrets, and you have a solid defense. Admittedly, the grox will beat it. But it takes them longer. As for the multiple invasions: play an easier mode, or don't enter a war with them until you can actually protect yourself.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
yeah i no that about little empires i never bother with them when it says there attacking im like whatev but i cant ignore the grox its every 2 to 3 minutes and its always more than 1 planet they attack i had to abanden that game cuz it wasnt worth and i dont bother getting the staff of life any more cuz thats when they harrass u
AwsomeKevo 2 years ago
The colonize several planets in every system. Due to an error in game mechanics, empires can't conquer a system if there is more than one colonized planet in the system. Even after destroying a planet, the grox won't go back to that system until that planet is recolonized.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
lol you fricken cheater. you place the correct plants on the planet and then take them right back out. and it still registers them on the t score.
planeguy3223 2 years ago
How is that cheating? Try it yourself, and you'll see that it works that way. In fact, if I remember correctly, the Gamefaqs guides that cover terraforming recommend doing just that.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
lol i don't know. i just thought that the game wasn't meant to be played that way, but if it says in the guide i guess its okay. i wouldn't know cause i never look in there. and it does work for me.
planeguy3223 2 years ago
lol very fast ^_^
dominicdel2 2 years ago
not very good if your going to terraform anyways....plus how are you going to do this 2400 times?
clayman4223 2 years ago
my homeworld has only 3 cities left.
Treadstone1231 2 years ago
that means you didnt upload enouph creatures your games limits are your creatures there creatures and your uploaded creature
clayman4223 2 years ago
you'll get the dejavu achievement for that and i would rather be allies with the same species
ikmal2500 2 years ago
me too its very predictible and they like tou cuz you think alike
clayman4223 2 years ago
what happens wen you lose your home planet cuz i only got 1 city left on there
clayman4223 2 years ago
Have you ever conquered or bought the home planet of another civilization? All that happens if you do that is that another planet gets designated as your homeworld instead.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
good thanks
clayman4223 2 years ago
thata what i did...
unknown455667 2 years ago
ugh, it did this 5 times and got bored... is there like a... um.... quicker way?
3horsepower 2 years ago
Not really. Even cheating it takes a long time.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
if you have the staff of life you can take them out easily, but not all of them.
zillatamer 2 years ago
Yes. With the staff of life, you can take out 1.75% of their planets. In other words, you can destroy 42 of their planets. Really, the staff of life isn't a solution here.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
yeah but it helps you make a base, thats what i did. also anti matter weapons work well.
zillatamer 2 years ago
how do i get that cuz im gonna get dance with the devil betray them by blowing up all their planets with planet buster and cheats and hell a lot of allie ships
OmegaTrooper1 2 years ago
You get 42 staffs of life by getting to the center of the galaxy and going into it. This only happens once per civilization, however.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
also i figured out that it would be better if you made a good relationship with them and then use zealot (cheating makes it way faster) but if they ask you to do a mission and to bring them a specimen or to eliminate i woulndt do that cause they are just asking you to do that so they can colonize there, evil little people, but just make a good relationship AND DONT DROP THE ZEALOT ON THE CITY cause then it goes down -99 saying ur using harmful things. hop ethis helps ( dont use it near someon)
superchamp94 2 years ago
so what you are saying is that the grox cannot enter your colony if its t-score is above 0?? I dont rlly think thats true caues they attacked my home planet and well........its t-3. Also i have a question if i take over a grox planet and i change it to t-3 will my land spread just as my allied are spreading???
superchamp94 2 years ago
so the grox cantlive in any terra above 0
djbabbles100 2 years ago
Correct. If a planet has a terraforming level of 1 or more, the Grox can't survive there.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
yeh cus there cyborgs
drunkenwoodelf 2 years ago
That isn't exactly true. The whole definition of a cyborg is a living being with technology as part of their body. By that definition, they already exist, such as the people who have had their sight restored by using implants.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
k then there robot people
drunkenwoodelf 2 years ago
Do you know the total number of star systems the grox occupy
crazyphil101 2 years ago
by the way, does anti-matter bomb break galactic code
silyanina 2 years ago
I'm pretty sure that unless they changed something in that expansion pack, it does not break Galactic Code. Still, don't take my word on that one, as I'm not entirely certain.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
it doesnt only the planet buster and grav wave do
djbabbles100 2 years ago
you mean repeat 2399 times
silyanina 2 years ago
Infact there are at least 2700 solar systems
Arvinder101 2 years ago
how are you makeing it fast forwed is there are button
arleyssss 2 years ago
Actually, I did that in the video editor. Otherwise, the video would have been much longer, and much more boring. In retrospect, I probably should have sped it up a little more.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
Hehe, your strategy is the same one I do whit the planets I conquer.
Iv allied whit them and now I shall destroy them, thus receiving the two medals. (Galactic genocide, lulz.)
Also, to have colossal amounts of money, use a thing called "Farming Spice" basically is just terraforming 10 or 15 neighbor planets, all of them T3 whit 3 colonies and whit a Spice Storage.
Do regular visits to them and sell to the highest price, in less than an hour you should have 20+ Million Spore Dollars.
EMPPT 2 years ago
if you go into the galactic center you get the staff of life wich instantly puts planets to t3!
legomii 2 years ago
Yes, but, as I've mentioned before, you only get 42 of these per species, meaning that they aren't the most useful tool for removing the thousands of Grox worlds.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
if my i play on th disk does the detail show better like the fire cause i have that i dont need the disk to play and if i put the disk in,the disk wont play.
CHUCKIEB4 2 years ago
Actually, the disk is for installation only. You can't use it to play the game. Just to install it.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
i cant keep the t-scoore the same.the arrows always their and i cant take it off.
CHUCKIEB4 2 years ago
You have to fill all of the ecology slots with species of the correct type. Once you get them filled, the t-score will settle down after a little while.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
Well yeah, but considering that they have over 2700 star systems...
shmekaldorff 2 years ago
This is actually a good strategy :)
prodigyoftheyear 2 years ago
In my relationships with other aliens, it always says "Broke Galactic Code" What is that? It started when I used my ability to wipe out a planet's structure's. (I used it on a Tribal Planet if that helps)
GigaNewb 2 years ago
That means that you have eliminated a sentient species, either through use of the planet buster, or through other methods. I'm not sure, but it might be any use of the planet buster, and not just on sentient species. Also, if you do this near the Grox worlds, they will like you more, as long as you don't do it to them.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
so grox like me to destroy other species? it says on the mad red face -200 destroyed one of they're solar systems, -20 breaking galactic code, +30 bombing one of my colonies. (lol... yea... >_>) pleez halp!!1!
Clayguy247 2 years ago
There r 3 things that break the galactic code.
:) :D Im so addicted! lol
FOREVERxGAMER 2 years ago
Thank you. That really does clarify things for me.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
if u blow up a planet that has a tribe stage thats a creature u urself created can u still play on that planet?
bakuganman879 2 years ago
I've never actually tried that. I'm not entirely certain, but I think you can still play. The reason being you you have to cause an alliance in both games to get the related achievement, instead of just one. If you want to try, go ahead.
Glitchfinder 2 years ago
well i was thinking of playing a prank and making my friend think i blew up the planet i let him make by sending him a vid of me using planet buster but if it acctually blows it up then i dont wanna ruin his game
bakuganman879 2 years ago
no u cant play on that planet
