I've at least heard of the Collins Kids, I didn't know... to keep up with Joe Maphis, he's awesome... I saw Joe Maphis in person at our Air Base, Castle AFB, in the early 60's, and part of Arm Forces entertainment on a Friday night. Tremendous act..., he's one of the inspirations that kept me playing all these years... Music is a wonderful passion... thanks for the comeback...

@LarchSt The boy is Larry Collins of the Collins Kids. He and his older sister, Lorrie were regulars on Tex Ritter's Ranch Party. There are a lot of their songs on YT.

@john1948eighta  Yes, I love 'Whistle Bait," which I think is just Larry solo.

But also, Lorrie Collins was Ricky Nelson's girlfriend for a few years. It's a shame they didn't stay together and marry, maybe would have spared Rick some unhappiness of eventual wife Kristen Harmon Nelson, whose supposed free-spending ways (and cruel manipulation) nearly bankrupted Rick, forced him to work much more than he should have had to by that point in his life.
