  • This looks like replication of Thane Heins's work at Ontario University.

  • Nope, the battery's still there..

"there was no degradation of the components after 7 days"(-except for the battery) Sod the digital scope, let me see 2 current probes on the battery:)

At 327% (not including friction) it should EASILY charge a cap-and run from it-in fact you should be able to spin it up by hand & watch it turn forever. Read their 'terms of use' , buy a jar of vaseline, and clear the table :o)

  • Now they are going to show 'proof' of overunity today at 16:00 GMT-now let's see it run without a battery? i asked them to show me realtime measurements of current in & out, but they declined :)

  • My last comment on 'Official' is 'pending approval' LOL

"We are being sceptical for a reason, i've been researching this stuff for years, i tested their 'kinetica' models years ago, i built a PMM that would run for 5 minutes (providing you gave it a good shove)-this is just a highly efficient pulse motor-i give them credit for using Thane's coils, that was a slick move- PS i have seen positive proof of overunity, but not from steorn, a true OU machine can run itself, no battery " :o)

  • No, i don't beleive this. I only beleive what can be replicated, & proven 100%.

Soon as they start saying 'you dont understand it' or they start using flimy excuses to explain the prescence of a battery, then i lose interest very quickly....

  • No. I only trust what i can replicate myself, or i am given undeniable proof. All the replicas of this thing don't work, McCarthy says 'that's because you dont understand how it works'-patronizing to say the least.

Let me see it run without a battery, & he may have something of interest....

  • Thanks for posting this! I posted the following comment on their channel & no great surprise, it wasn't posted :(

"Utter nonsense! A capacitor will dump it's current MUCH faster than a battery, which depends on electrochemical action. Can we see some measurements made of current INTO & OUT OF the battery?

At least you got the coils right. A capacitor would at least provide some positive proof of overunity."

  • stawmy, meanwhile, the user 'SteornOfficial' pulls his videos, whenever I mention the correct name of his magical rip-off device, that is termed reluctance motor. Although it's true it has no significant back-EMF due to the low coil inducatance, the energy comes from a slight (asymmetrical) shift of the BH-diagram (increase of hysteresis=magnetization energy=energy consumption). Hence, McCarthey has a very good reason to use a 3.6V, 10Ah LiIon-battery instead of a capacitor.

    ;-))

  • anybody who invests money in something like this deserves to be robbed. it's hilarious how gullible people are.

  • bobafettlives, I agree 100%. Gullible perpetua-mobile fags deserve to be ripped off their money, since they prefer to pay a lot of money for the laws of thermodynamics - the strongst principle nature has to offer.

    ;-))

  • @sacha4you Irish legal faggot

  • Steorn's business model is breathtaking: Take a simple electric motor configuration, that runs with about 10mW, a 10Ah 3.6V Li battery (W=36J) - and the thing will run for about 3'600h or 150days. Enough time to soak a new 100 headed jury (They take about £7'500 per person). I feel like an idiot with my EE graduation when every company can legislate new laws of physics.

    ;-))

  • @sacha4you I know, they wouldnt let me join their research team (oh the shame).

  • stawmy, would you trust your duck to a fox?

    ;-))

  • I can never get my comments in the right place:o)-Don't get me wrong, i still beleive 'overunity' is possible, only this isn't it...

  • stawmy, so I'd suggest, you continued to believe.

    ;-))

  • It shows that that magnetic polarity is not what drives this motor, but timing is important .

  • Why is it unusual that the motor spins in the same direction when the current is reversed if they are using an optical encoder?! Idiots.
