Racism does not have to be intertwined with power. Institutionalised racism, yes. Weird that Miss Abbott represents exactly that! At least a quarter of my degree deals with issues of power and the genealogy of racism - I have read both sides, be it Dubois, Foucault, Said et al, those promulgating the opposite.

I never said that black imprisonment rates means that blacks are racist. I would never say such a thing. Blacks violently assaulting whites does, however. Stop building a straw man to knock it down. @biozamadotcom - And if it was not for the Saudi's, we probably would not have any oil for usage as fuel, lubrication, and the manufacture of plastics. Unfortunately, a lot of oil is in countries whose human rights record is terrible and whose democracy is non-existent or a sham. We could of course stop importing oil from the Saudi's, but where else would we obtain it from? Successive British Governments, both Labour AND Conservative, have had to kiss arse to the Saudi's for oil!

England was invaded on several occasions, by the Normans, the Angles and the Saxons, the Vikings, & the Romans. White people may have built Britian, but they were not all born within the British Isles! Many of our towns were founded by Romans. Many of our roads were originally founded by Romans. Hadrians Wall was founded by Romans. However, they may all have been built using English slaves!
