Rise of Flight Demo Video Showing TrackIR Usage

for some reason track ir does not work for me in this game. I have track ir 5 with the latest demo. It worked for the first few minutes until I went to the options. Now I can only use the mouse to look around. Please help if you can.

its a hardware you can buy which follows your head movement so you can look around in your cockpit simply rotating your head.there's a freeware program called FreeTrack that you can use but then you have to build a simpel LED frame.

the coolest thing ever!

you put it on your headset and it tracks your headmovement, and multiplies it.

So if you look a little to the left (so you can still see your screen very well) it is as if you are looking left in teh plane etc..

Instead of using view buttons or a hat switch on your joystick.

you can follow an enemy while turning, doing scisors, etc...a must have for sim!

This is an old version they've now completely rebuilt engine etc checkout some newer videos and you'll see.

Is this a remake of the commodore amiga classic knights of the sky, it looks exactly the same and seems to have similar features, missions as the origional apart from the vastly improved graphics! i loved that game and hope its as good!!

The name has changed to 'Rise of Flight.' It's currently entering it's beta testing phase, after which it will go gold pending any fixes or modifications.

There's a few videos on You Tube for "RoF." It looks remakable. Suggested computer is a duo core running at 2.8 with a 512 MB video card. (ATI 4850 or equivilent nVidea card like an 8800) 3 Gigs or RAM are also recommended.

THESE are optimum specs.... not minimum.

Since you are a historian maybe you know there are only 3 verified veterans alive left, of the 5 claimed veterans. The last ones that did see action passed away last month, Henry Allingham aged 113 and Henry Patch aged 111.

Back in 2005 there were over 100 WWI veterans alive, but they are rapidly dying these last 3-4 years.

I had the chance to fly this new simulator when I was in Moscow last summer (2007) and this simulator is amazing!

Back then, the flight model was already very good and together with the the terrain, weather, effects and sounds makes KOTS or ROF a truely remarkable simulator!

This is just a video demo made by the developer (Gennadich) - no one has got their hands on a playable demo yet.
