Benny Hill and gang will be on the tube in the US. AntennaTV, which will either replace RTV or be the new name of it, will have Benny Hill as part of its programming in a comedy block with the Three Stooges. Benny may be gone but his memory will live on.

The audience was going down? I don't think so. The Benny Hill Show was a instant hit when it came to the United States, so shouldn't that count as an increase in audience? I don't think it was a budget cutting issue either. Someone just felt that it was time to stop. What a poor decision. Thanks for the laughs Benny!!!

Benny's last producer/director and friend..Mr.Dennis Kirkland was the one..who found his dead body in his friend's apartment. A Sad loss of a truly creative,talented and caring gentleman. Later on..the heads of Thames TV addmited that firing Benny Hill was the biggest and worst mistake that they ever made.

Thank you for posting this. To me parts of Benny Hill are pure genius. He isn't sexist as much as he is having a laugh at the people who are and the society that is so uptight and close-minded. He and Bob Todd and Henry Mcgee and Louise English and the rest are a pure delight. And the music Benny wrote is wonderful. Thanks again.

I well remember those final shows in 89 and thought it was time to call it a day.There was Bob,Benny and someone else in one sketch running around in vest and shorts to the music and chasing young women in a gymn.The guys looked like the girls grandads.It was ridiculous.

BENNY HILL was the funniest man ever! -- he was the only one who could make me genuinely laugh till the tears rolled down my face...

Years back, I wrote him a letter, and to my suprise, I recieved an autographed pic of him in the mail sometime later. -- A comic genious who wrote his own script, jokes, skits and songs.... there will never be another one like him.

Thanks Benny... for all the many years of untold laughter you have given me.!
