  • THIS IS COOL ; ARE ROUTERS EXPENSIVE ?

  • @poosaypirate Sears has one for sale at $55. Dremels tools work too (with a small router bit; don't try to use the high speed cutter for routing.)

  • @synapse131 ok thanks for telling me . you learn something new every day, ive been using a dremmel for a long time

what you are saying is theres an attacthment to create a Mini Router?

  • @poosaypirate for a dremmeel, is that correct?

when you say dont use a high speed cutter, you mean use the low speed ON the dremmel, yes?

thanks so much i love all sorts of hand work

  • Most people posting agree, and so do I, this can be done far better with different easy techniques. I expect Kevin, by now, to have learned a better way so we need an updated video, please.

  • And you're hand routing it? I am amateur when it comes to woodworking but I know better than you that this WRONG!

  • thats pretty bad....

    im doin better than that

Im builind a bass guitar with a frined and my inlays are much better and trickier and even smaller

  • What it is - is! lol

  • expert village sucks

  • unexpert village?

  • make a simple router jig -do not plunge the router like that. Then use a corner chisel to square the corners.

  • Great videos. I have watched a few other videos and the guy usually talks way over your heead and it is annoying. You do an amazing job as a teacher. I am working on a joystick controller for my Xbox and after watching your vids I feel way more confident about how the finished item is going to be look. One request I have is for more lighting so we can see the work being done.

    Mahalo,

  • 2 suggestions:

turn up your mic volume. difficult to hear some vids even with headphones.

and 2:...show finished product as others suggested.

    thanks

  • @richie1027 these are the full video's , honestly how have people not realized this yet. your comment is repeated my hundrens of people for all their video's .... these are just 2 min samples from the hour long film

  • Nice video.

  • wow... that's bad

  • Can we actually see the final result? I saw a couple of your video and we never see him do the actual work, once again congratulation "expert"Village for another useless video...

  • Hola; somos muchos hispanos que vemos estos videos pero no todos entedemos ingles y perdemos toda la explicacion que importante puede ser algo en español PLIS!!!!!

  • Absolute Amateur Village this is not the way to do that kind of work at all.

  • Well said... that was quite the "plunge" router he had there too, it's funny but I don't seem to remember having to twist my router while it was running to get the bit to protrude. I wonder if his Dad knows he's in his garage playing woodworker?

  • @onefatbass jajajaja ! ok

  • Watching this video i thought you could taper the inlay blocks edges slightly in,and have your hole just deeper,so you could force the block down hard and the edges would really be tight, then sand the block flush with the main piece.

  • Excellent Video! I thought that was a "fixed" base router, instead of a "plunged" base router, but other than that...nice tip!

  • ELVIS?

  • good thing
