you cannot get a Virus by just connecting to the internet...Virus's are Self inflicted...usually by opening executable Files or scripts that you dont know what they are..these are usually found in dodgey emails and on porn or Warez sites...therefore if you get a Virus you are a Fucking retard or you look at too much porn...the reason why mac OS does not have many virus problems isn't because it is more secure...its because no one has bothered writing Virus's for Mac's...those days are numbered

wrong. though rare, one can get viruses from just being connected to the internet. porn sites aren't the only way you can get viruses. you could click on a hacked link at say microsoft's web site and get a virus. osx is more secure because to even to simple things like change the time on windows, you need to be a root user which permits you to do things that that screw up the files and dlls of windows. plus, the system's files and applications are kept close together that security is very hard

Yes I own a mac & two PCS...I dont use Antivirus on any of them....I do use the Windows Firewall and that seems to work fine for me...I have not had a "Virus" what you are talking about is a Worm...that is a Different thing...however I have not had a Worm or a Virus since about 2002.

Macs are designed for music and video editing mainly, and have a pretty solid OS, but windows, because of it being bundled on most computers, is more popular generally, and has a larger amount of games...

the majority of the Films that come out of hollywood and around the world are edited on "AVID" and most of those systems are windows based!...I work in the visual effects industry and i work on MACS AND PCS..I dont get the problems of getting Virii (virus's for the tards) on PC's Because i dont look at FUCKING PORN....anyone who gets a virus in this day and age is a fucking retard...and is usually looking at porn on the net.... simple!!!

I have Ubuntu aswell,I use it, but not that much as macs are much nicer and easier. Just because an OS is easy and friendly to use doesm't make it a Bad OS. It makes it the BEST OS

maltese85 im sorry but you are wrong I work in the film industry editing Film & Video on AVID & Final Cut Pro (yes I also Use Macs) the majority of films edited over the last 10 Years have been edited on AVID USUALLY ON PC the one major difference is that AVID on PC works with AVID UNITY SERVERS where as it does not work on the Mac version yet...dont get me wrong there have recently been some Films beeing edited on Final Cut Pro, Films like "Cold Mountain" but not that many
