  • That is excellent work my friend, their was a time I tried to learn it, but never got far, I do play the harmonica still, but the Guitar I almost gave up, my singing voice went down cause my vocal cord cancer. I really enjoy it, keep it up my friend, would you perhaps sing some Gospel songs for me? So long, God bless.

  • That is excellent work my friend, I have been searching a lot for this kind of music and singing, this is the best I have found, their was a time I tried to learn it, but never got far, I do play the harmonica still, but the Guitar I almost gave up, my singing voice went down cause my vocal cord cancer. I really enjoy it, keep it up my friend, would you perhaps sing some Gospel songs for me? So long, God bless.

  • Thanks a lot. Yes, I've been intending to do some gospel for some time. I'll try to do some in the near future.

    peace

  • Hey, Lost Hills

Great work. gotta feel bad for the old guy with vocal cancer, eh? Thanks for the great videos. I'm a singer songwriter living near Ardmore, TN... Toney AL to be exact. From your voice, I'd guess those lost hills are somewhere in the Ozarks? Gotta love the celtic folk songs we've got around here. Let me know if you ever want help with launching You Tube videos, or promotion. I'm trying to launch a singer songwriter hobby/career myself, and always looking out for mentors

  • Oh,great!

  • wow fantastic! very talented =o

  • The music is well harmonized I enjoy the harmony of the music and the flow of the music is attractive too.

  • me encanto pero nadie la canta en español

  • Hola, amigo...

te hablo anglais? I believe this translates as I am enchanted by your singing, but i would be more enamoured if there was singing in spanish too. Or is it: "I am a Cantor/singer pero (??) without a female spanish speaking singer. In any case, I agree, he could use some international back up vocals. I say we record him some to the same tune and have him blend them together for a new UTube vid.

I used to play at the senior center once in awhile, and I would pull this song out when I was wracking my brain for something they would know....

  • :) Good call. My mom sent me a l link to it when I moved south and we couldn't remember all the words to Oh Suzanna. I didn't mind, i just make up my own verses.

Hey, you interested in collaboration? I'm an acoustical consultant with a AV and networking consultant for a husband. I'm also working on starting to find gigs as a singer song writer in HSV area and Nashville area. Seems like there's a lot of us around, or at least there was a Panoply though.

  • Love it!

There's a guy at work who says to me every day, Oh Susana, and sometimes I'll sing some of the rest of it for the heck of it.

So Dan's got you doing this one and us doing Frosty. Huh. I'm thinking we might could ask him for some stuff, huh?

Nice job, NICE git work and I do like the harp thing as well.

  • nice friend ! alot of my friend's say "it all started with the blues." I know what they mean, but let's not forget the Gershwin's, Mr. Foster, and ever Beethoven and Bach. The gregorian chants, etc... music is a diverse and wondrous thing.

  • Thanks, man.

I think it started with the old english ballads, and the input of african rythms and scales brought it all to life.

But it probably really started with cavemen beating out a rythm on mammoth tusks around the campfire....

  • true
