@modenaxx1 eso es por que saleen se dedica a potenciar los autos de ford, no copian el modelo, sino que toman un ford mustang normal y lo mejoran, segun tengo entendido

And again each car that saleen gets which is a mustang, has it's vin number from ford takin out and replaced by saleens VERY OWN vin number (regardless if the car is still registered as its former self)
3 valve is for most american citisens that are afraid of a high insurance bill. I don't mind them at all. It's pretty cool on the types of output these cars can make with just an engine tune, pulley system, 24lbs injectors, new exhaust and a inner cool system.
my saleen s302 is orange makes 721hp with the halp of 4 yes 4 superchargers (not factory option) and will and has smokes every vett i ever raced. and boy i love the growl it makes
Maybe Britney Spears was inside, lol... I'm guessing Saleens are very rare in that country (and even in the United States), so it kind of is like seeing a Ferrari or something. People driving more expensive cars pulled into the gas station to see my Saleen Mustang when I first got it in 2005; now they just use a camera phone. The attention is sometimes pretty awkward, but whatever.

No es que les copien como los chinos, sólo son preparadores que los potencian, les ponen body kits y les mejoran notablemente las prestaciones ;)

Plus, the DMV lists Saleens as Saleens not Fords.

The S281 is more than just a copycat Tuner version of the Mustang. Saleen
itself is subject to the exact same federal regulations governing automotive design as GM, Chrysler LLC, Ford and various
other manufactures. So as I said earlier, its not a Mustang.

besides most people obviously dont understand the legal system and who has registered rights to the corresponding vehicle.
Ford has nothing to do with the S281, nor does Ford own the rights to the car. The cars themselves may have started
life as a Ford Mustang, however once Saleen is done replacing the vehicles OE mechanical and cosmetic parts, there is
very little of Ford (if any) left in the car.

The S281 is Legally licensed and manufactured by Saleen (Not Ford) Therefore its not a Ford Mustang.

Because Saleen is to Ford as RUF is to Porsche.
Saleen is a independent company and is not owned by Ford.
People look at the outside and (based on it's appearance) automatically say "Its a Ford Mustang".
However, the only thing the Saleen S281 has in common with the Ford Mustang is cosmetic parts. Underneath that
cosmetic façade is All Saleen performance parts. There are enough changes made by Saleen to merit the S281 as it's
own creation.
