Hi. please let me know if your DHCP and DNS are enabled when you go to your Huawei 1.3g dongle properties, sharing, then once you have ticked that box, click settings in the bottom right corner and please tell me if your DHCP and DNS boxes are ticked. bcoz weneva i try connect to xbox live with my xbox this way it keeps sayin that it can't obtain IP address and it says i must make sure that my DHCP is enabled. wen i try enter the IP addresses manually it stil says connection failed...help please

Hi, your video is by far best Ive seen but unfortunately im still having no joy. It just wont connect, on the xbox it says 'cant connect to your network hardware using static IP address'. I've tried it using the automatic IP setting and ive tried typing it in manually but no luck. any ideas?

Hey, I've got the newest 3 dongle. I was able to connect to XBL a couple of days ago but now I just get this error message "Can't obtain an IP address from your router or modem". Lost My connection twice this worked for me.hope this helps 1- Select the start button. 2- Select All Programs. 3- Select Accessories 4- Select System Tools. 5 Select System Restore 6- Select " choose a different restore point" 7 Hit next 8 check mark the box that says "show more restore points" 9- select anydate you want specifically one before you lost your conection 10- click next or finish and your comp will go back to that date. Beware SOme files may be lost backup on a cd if u have to.

Ok. If you don't have that option, you shouldn't need to change it. As long as you tick the box allowing 'internet connection sharing' it should work.
