my god, i just don't get trends these days. to me, this is so boring. every single one of their songs sounds the same. and how do these guys get signed at such a young age? there are, i kid you not, thousands of bands like these, yet nobody wants to sing some cool neo-psychrock bands, or some funkrock kids, which are not common at all.

@busyak This is indie music. They find ways to produce, and publicize their music independently of big record companies, and there is a group of people that are really into that stuff. They aren't popular on a wide scale like Rush, Lady Gaga, or even Three Days Grace. They are "marketing" towards a very different crowd of people in comparison to the Classic Rock or New Hip Hop music. I do see your point, but everyone has their own opinion. =]

"Indie" does not mean it is just rock, there are "indie" hip hop artists, classical composers, and even funk bands. Indie is not a genre, it is just a way of producing music.

That and the whole red and white themes as symbols drawn from the rider-waite tarot cards. When he says "I'm a romantic but never pearly white." White being the lack of a characteristic and red as fully embodying a characteristic. Also with the cups representing emotion and as far as i can tell love. Idk what do you guys think?

@theinsanemusician I found them in a set of tarot cards. I think your definitely right though I mean thats the beauty of music is it's open to interpretation. To me it just seems like the progression of a soul. THe five of cups card is a man in black standing alone and in the video you have a man holding five red baloons dressed in black. The guy and the girl in the field seem to represent the two of cups as they are both holding cups and the card stands for the start of a relationship.
