@Romero1104 Hi the story behind the routine: remembering and being haunted by the past and someone you love. To Mia it was her father who had passed away. That's why Travis leaves at the end as if he was never there.

To be honest, I didnt even realize that Travis was doing most the dancing... I believe that Heidi's part in this dance was vital and without her, there would be no story.

Travis is so fucking amazing, everything he does, from dance to choreography, is just amazing and touching. Whenever I think about SYTYCD I think of Travis, and this exact routine

I don't get what was so physically difficult about this routine for Heidi. She's a weeping mess in the intro, but nothing about this piece looked that difficult for her side of it. And she didn't do it that well. This dance performed with Travis and a better dancer, or any couple from the current season (8) would do it much better justice.

@LaraLove23 The choreography was probably modified based on what Heidi could or couldn't handle. A lot of choreographers in SYTYCD do that. Also, the standard for getting chosen is much higher now than it was for season 2.

Not hating on Heidi, though. She's a fantastic ballroom dancer and she did her best no matter what she was given on this show.

@AIAIndiana That's a really good point. I hadn't thought about that. I think you're probably spot on. The original dance was likely much more difficult and it was simplified a great deal for her. I would love to see a more balanced version of this dance. I think it would be absolutely brilliant.

I don't really believe that one good dancer in the performance can make the whole piece great. Yeah, they focused on Travis a lot, but I think both of them carried their own weight. Together they were amazing.

@syllaree23 The dance would be nothing without her except another of Travis Wall's solos, which are awesome, but combining the two of them creates a beautiful story. How about we appreciate it instead of cutting people down?
