Krissy4nik,matriarchy is not the opposite of patriarchy.Matriarchal societies are egalitarian,not one sex ruling over the other.Both sexes are truly equal,and that is what brings about their peace.Many Native American tribes were matriarchal, and they thought that the white settlers were weird for refusing to talk to the native women when it came to business or other matters.Sweden too can now be called a matriarchy since half their leaders are female.

One successful matriarchy does not mean matriarchy is right. There have also been patriarchal governments that did well. I dont believe a government run by women would inherently be better seeing as women have the same potential for cruelty as men do.

We already do live in a matriarchy. We never lived under complete male rule. Just because men are doing all the work does not mean they were not providing for and doing the bidding of women. Women are the largest voting block and decide politics. Look at all the entitlements women have, ALL the rights in divorce, all control and rights in reproduction and conception. Affirmative Action, Title IX, The Council of Women and Girls. 7 Federal Offices on their health and not 1 for men..ect ect

Women hold 54% of the vote. They do not run for political office at ANY level of government as much as men AND WOMEN consistently vote for men to be their public servants of office. The reason feminism cannot advance is because we are stuck in these mistaken ideas that women are inherently superior to men that is not feminism it is sexism. No cause will advance ignoring 50% of the population. We can speak up for ourselves reguardless of what men think and that great but the better way to move forward is to get them to listen.
