Wow. The first well spoken, concise, and thoughtful presentation I've seen on Youtube regarding survival. Thank you for your contribution toward an improved awareness on this topic.
I really love watching your videos. You are really squared away. I am a RN and was with a navy corpsman unit. But you have it together. I am new to survival training. Your videos are very instructional. You're awesome.
I find great wisdom in your videos, and your thoughts go hand in hand with mine but you also have views that i wasn't aware of, Which is great cause i find myself roaming thru my "Bob bag" and my "bob vehicles" to make sure this is there and I have enough of this and that, basically the esstenials more so then the "comforts".I find my self getting in better shape thinking about survival and possible things that would accure if "SHTF" I hope i can eventual help educate thru vids as you do.
@spoonman72: Thanks for your kind comment, brother. I'm glad to be of service, and it looks like you're making great strides towards your survival goals. Keep up the great work! Many blessings --GM
Ok I have a question, my family has nothing set aside and we have a well so no power no water but would ( i'm 13) but my grandma has 2 years of food and 3 gun and my uncle has like 10 but what I'm asking is should we all stick together or stay apart?
@dragondag14: Thanks for your question! This decision is not a light one, and needs to be made in conjunction with your elders. If the adults can get consensus on an overall plan, you could all possibly coordinate plans/resources, or at least make contingency plans to work in tandem during a crisis. Again, talk to your elders -- you can even share my video 'Networking and Organizational Schemas' with them all. The best of luck, little brother! --GM
@dragondag14 im 16 and i know how it is. if your loved ones are not looking into survival items then it is important that you still look out for yourself. one thing i HIGHLY recommend is that you learn survival tactics and related topics by looking online. you can be a self trained anything if you have the internet. look for guides on medical training (even the basics) and other areas of interest! the best part is you dont have to spend money
I was wondering if you would consider taking a video request, and if so, would you mind giving your opinion on how a child should react in a survival situation?
I know it seems different, but is it possible to hear what you would suggest, from a child's POV(ie 8-15 years old), what to do in a survival situation (ie school shooting, fire, earthquake, etc)?
If not, then it's ok! If you respond, thank you! if not, thank you nonetheless!
@v8einstein: Sure, this seems like an very appropriate video suggestion, and I'd like to take it on. One thing, though: I do have a list of videos that I'm currently working on, but I shall get to this eventually -- you have my word, my friend! Many blessings, and stay safe --GM
@OscarMaris: Good question! I've been giving this some thought myself. I personally don't use controlled substances of any kind, but, as I've posted earlier, stored liquor--for instance--can be either a barter item or 'last resort' comforter. Same with marijuana -- to say nothing of its additional medicinal qualities. Never say never, because one just never knows.... Good luck, my friend --GM
@AnalyticalSurvival I dont know about the mary jane part, I used to just smoke it because I was misinformed by the teachers at my school. They still claim that the reason my ancestors lost in battles over territory was because they were high when they were clearly outgunned and still put up one hell of a fight and yes winning many of the battles, but I digress. I quit after I found that they smoked mullein not pot. But I do keep some homemade shine around... for medicinal purposes of course.lol
@Caveman0713: As I've stated in all my videos, every operator must decide what items are essential for their load outs. And that's different for everyone. Like I said -- I don't consume either drugs or alcohol, and coffee is about the strongest drink I take. That being said, however, ANOTHER operator may feel that cannabis or alcohol would be entirely beneficial to their layout. So be it. Each operator can only be responsible/accountable for their OWN gear layouts. Many blessings --GM
I'm guessing this was a rhetorical question. If you believe that your LIFE (or that of a loved one) is more important than a man-made law (in a time of survival)...then by god YES...get some cannabis in your kit. As a matter of fact, study up and you'll find that the majority of your health concerns (pain, burns, cuts, upset stomach, etc...) can ALL be addressed with just ONE item...Cannabis. Hint: Make sure you get some of the pure essential oil rather than plant matter.
@calmanny: Hey Calmanny! Will be back in action soon -- am preparing more videos for the late Spring! Thanks for your encouragement -- it means a whole lot! Keep in touch --GM
Nice. I really liked the 1/3 rule. I don't like to think about it but you are correct. With a single home scenario what do you recommend? Putting supplies upstairs, downstairs, maybe the garage if it can take the temp ranges? Great job. I really enjoy the vids.
Thanks, my friend, for your encouraging comments! Find a place that is cool, dry, and accessible. Garage is OK if, as you mentioned, the temperature stays within an acceptable range (70 degrees is a good average to shoot for, but cooler if possible). Good luck! --GM
@AnalyticalSurvival Were are you Brother? Missing your clear info and cool mindset, the are the best videos. Is this a test ? Fluidity in practice....

Could you do a video covering what to do regarding other people during a disaster situation? ie bandits, people looking for help, etc. Thanks and love your videos dude!
I can certainly see a video that deals with various self-defensive procedures -- I'll keep that idea on the back burner. Mostly, thank you for your suggestion! --GM
What do you plan to do as a contingency if you are away from your main base of operation for more than 72 hours and all you have is your bug out bag? This fits in with YankeePrepper's "I see dead people -- with bugout bags" video.
@notbored12 - Thanks! It is best to develop alternate bases of operation - 1/2 Way Houses - as temporary FOB's (Forward Operational Bases). These should be within 72 hours travel time, or at least within a week. From there, communications should be established with outlying 1/2 Way Houses, and a larger strategy developed immediately. Note: a bug out bag is NEVER intended as a supplement to encourage aimless wandering. It is merely one tool that is interlaced within a larger survival plan.
Good ideas. Very generous of you to share this. I've been thinking about your geocaching ideas-- I'm going to incorporate this into the no-car plan . I had been thinking about how to get to the BO spot with horses- caching feed, etc along the route is perfect.
thanks!

well its not like you fall over dead like mario when out of time.
the WG/BoB, has all the tools needed for a longer stay for the most part, just need food, and water.
my bob is mostly tools, and food, and food securing tools, with some shelter, and water thrown in to round out the edges a lil
boiling does not make clean water, it makes dead water
