it sounds like 10 times better than on youtube when listening from a CD or in FLAC 96khz format.

yes, you are right...I have Sara`s discography (so sad she`s nor recording any more) and as some of people here I also have B&W loudspeakers (matrix3 series2) and listening Sara and Chris on them is ultimate audiophile pleasure!!

This song is so well put together, I've listened to this countless times on B&W 802d's and it still amazes me, wish more tunes these days were produced so cleanly, the low end on this is outstanding!

One of the most intense songs I know. I was lucky enough to see Chris Jones live and even talk a few words with him. At this concert he played this song solo and told us its story: It is for a friend (perhaps this "Dave") who was diagnosed with cancer and it didn't look good. The good news is that then (2002), Chris said his friend had been cured. The tragedy: Chris died of Hodgkin's lymphoma just three years later. Rest in peace, Chris. You made some wonderful music.

I just listened to this and thought i would search youtube for it, Such a great song. I have it downloaded as a FLAC on the B&W Audiophile Recordings. youtube does the quality no justice. Has to be heard on something good to really appreciate the quality.

about the ``Dave`` thing ... as I have heard the song is dedicated to some Dave who passed away .. and it describes the memories and good times they had, and a ``journey`` that ends eventually on the same way for us all ... someone will be singing ``some`` song long after we all gone ....

I've also been listening to this song on my audiophile CD, but could never ever find it in here!

Although, about a year ago, there was this one guy who did a cover of this song...it's wasn't as good as the original, but it was a start for me to learn it! He removed the video recently :(.

Mayber together we can learn it, so here's what i know about it:

The guitar is tuned to DADGAD tuning and the first opening chord is 000100 (from low to high);
