what i don't get is how the sex pistols end up in the same catergoery as the ramones. The ramones had the greatest singer in rock history and the the most energy any band has ever had but yet the sex pistols were just a bunch of talentless PUNKS that ripped off the ramones.

I think it's a heritage of the seventies. If you asked someone to name 3 punk bands chances were big that you would hear: Ramones, Sex Pistols & The Clash.The Ramones however, survived on quality and quantity for both live shows and records while the Pistols already imploded shortly after Never Mind The Bollocks, due to a lack of commitment, discipline and motivation. Although I think you're a little too hard on the Pistols, I whole heartily agree with Joey being the best singer in rock history.

I've finished the setup today. I managed to align the strings and the pole pieces without having to take the whole guitar apart. Now I can start to experiment with different amp settings.

It has a really nice sound. Actually pretty close to my Mosrite but its got more darkness cause of the humbucker on the bridge. We'll see how that thing gets beat by the Mosrite pickups.

Neither can I! Need to get that XLR-TSR/XLR-RCA cable fast so I can record high quality audiow ith my PC. Also, Let's Dance is a good song (at least the live version on Leave Home [Expanded], you should cover it if you don't have anything else.

Oh, I forgot. I found out that the pole pieces are not aligned with the strings, so tomorrow I will take it apart to see if I can fix it myself. Don't know if it will make a lot of difference but when it comes to guitars I suffer a mild form of OCD:) Also I'm contemplating to replace the humbucker for a Seymour Duncan JB-Trembucker. Had it in one of my previous guitars and it's an awesome pickup. High output but still great definition and balance.

I prefer DiMarzios myself. Like Super Distortion and Tonezone. Awesome pickups. Also hot minibucker.

And I too suffer from OCD about guitars. Sometimes I play 6 hours a day or just generally fuck around with guitars and amplifiers. Who cares, I love doing it. It makes me happy.

The Mosrite single coils are really hot, with a resistance hovering around 14-17k. They should pack quite a kick to the face.
