  • Hey Orrin, what yr is that gtr? PS I like your playing bc you don't copy other players- very refreshing!

  • @paul29671 It's a 1962 D-28.

  • You two sound fantastic together.

  • Are you really the head of the Kwik-E-Mart?

  • i think i've met the guy on the left at a coffee shop called savory in takoma park, md... not positive though. john, if you're reading this, have you ever played there? with takoma zone?

  • Very likely that you saw John there; he lived in Takoma Park for many years.

  • Check out Orrin's book Hot licks for bluegrass guitar. Excellent stuff.

  • guys,,, that's as sweet as it gets,,,i loved the high harmony and the solid attack on the lead,,,& the whole song

  • I was looking for docs version, this isn't it but it is a wonderful interpretation

    I thoroughly enjoy this

  • That kind of pickin' and singin' is why I like bluegrass. Thanks for sharing!

  • A+. This video is a perfect example of why I enjoy youtube. Instant fav!

  • Love it! I learned so much from your hot licks book when I was a kid.

  • Great job guys! I really enjoy this and love to play along but..I would please like to beg some help finding good tabs and the lyrics for download. This is the best Alberta/Billy in the Lowground video i found online.

  • 0:44 - 1:00 - that solo just flows so perfectly. Not too flashy, but just right. I keep rewinding to that spot over and over. Just great picking.

  • Wonderful playing and singing. Orrin's tone, phrasing, and command are outstanding. I've been listening to him for many years now. The harmony singing was very nice too. Great job.

  • nice pickin!

  • That was just sweet to listen to.

  • very nice...reminded me of Ricky Skaggs and JD Crowe together.

  • Guys, this is miked perfectly, the balance between the guitars and your voices is superb. It's probably just because you have a good ear for blend.

Amazing youtube tune. Come and play in Japan.

  • He does have a little "skaggs" in his voice. Good playing for sure.

  • very cool!! nice guitars and playing

  • Awesome! Thanks Orrin

  • Another great tune Orrin, Maybe we'll steal it!! Great pickin!

  • Great guitar playing and singing.

Leadguitar is doing Doc Watson great justice.

The young guy playing rythm reminds me alot of Ricky Skaggs singing. Keep the videos coming!
