  • This sounds heavenly.

  • Poetic and beautiful...clearly my vocab is childish and words not as clever and resonating but basically <3

  • FREDDIE WAS SOMETHING,IVE LOVED THIS BAND SINCE 15 YEARS OLD A NIGHT AT THE OPERA,IM NOW 50 AND LOVE THEM EVEN MORE,IVE NEVER SEEN OR KNEW THER WERE SO MANY QUEEN FANS?FANTASTIC GROUP THAT WILL MARK AND HAS MARKED HISTORY INDEED OR LOSS FOR LESS ANOTHER 50 YEARS

  • holy fuck his voice is just so rare and incredible best voice that will ever ever be on earth

  • dislikes...?? hmm....okay, sure.

  • Been looping this for hours. I recently left for college for the first time, and all my old friendships seem to be sent down the path of nevermore..Queen never ceases to amaze me with how fully they express these emotions everyone feels.

  • I think this is even more beautiful than "Love of My Life" and that's saying something.

  • happy birthday, freddie :)

  • So much more dramatic when you listen to it with headphones

  • @Soorkh you are correct. That's where the beauty of Queen lies. Interestingly enough, the lesser known tracks are the most majestic. To further your case.....listen to "All Dead" with headphones. Mays guitar solo simple swells and explodes inside your head.

  • Queen was a great band, they are called bands due to the fact the members "BAND" together (Teo Torriete); yes Freddie was fabuolosly gifted, as well as Brian, Roger, and John...listen carefully to the great hormonizing on this recording (many other recordings as well) of Queen. Nothing against Freddie, love his voice also, but the whole is always greater than the singular. Rock on!

  • Man I am so glad that I can come on youtube and find all the songs from all the Queen albums that I listened to as a teenager. (still do) And to make it more perfect, the live concert footage of them performing......well it's the next best thing to being there. I miss Freddie. I miss Queen. They made queenly magic for realz.

  • @FREDDIEMANIAC I logged in just to give you a thumbs up.

  • @ChocolateNinjaStar.....Thank you so much! A true Queen fan. Love it!

  • yeah it's beautiful. it's just that when i was 21, i didn't wanna hear this, gag me with a spoon! man, i wanted kiss! " firehouse!!! we wanted music that made us wanna break things and kill things!! not this stuff that my mom would listen too!!! look, if it's any consolation to you, give me anything off of shear heart attack, or fat bottom girls, and i'll be happy.....

  • My mouth dropped in awe and tears almost came to my eyes when i first heard this song. So beautiful!

  • How come it ends at 1:19? Something this magnificent should have a repeat button or the uploader should have looped the song 48 times so I'm satisfied.

  • Absolutely beautiful! Such memories!

  • There's no living in my life anymore, The seas have gone dry and the rain stopped falling, Please don't you cry anymore, Can't you see, Listen to the breeze, whisper to me please, <3 <3 <3 Don't send me to the path of nevermore

  • BEST. BAND. EVER!

  • Gorgeous piece of music.

  • A Song in Heaven.

  • Farrokh Bulsara....the world is a darker place without you....so glad I grew up in the 70's and had a chance to see Queen live..... ! Each time I saw them was an Amazing ride...Freddie Mercury a voice that was a close to perfect as you get a sexy, beautiful soul ,Brian May guitar master, Roger Taylor amazing drums and that falsetto! John Deacon great on the base and wrote some of Queens most memorible songs...So glad I can now share your music with my own kids...The Show Must Go On....

  • Freddie considered himself a hopeless romantic. His talent for giving us these beautiful songs was anything BUT hopeless! Only he could evoke such joyful feelings into us with an otherwise sad song. He cleverly stirs up both emotions in such a short piece of music. Beautiful!

  • 5 people were sent to the path of nevermore.

  • This song was going thru my head as we buried my dog today, in the yard he loved so much to hang out in......so few demands, so much love.....poor little guy.......

    R.I.P....Cliffy. R.I.P.....Freddie.

  • This may be the greatest song ever made. It just illustrates how extremely talented Queen was. Nevermore is the only song I know that can make me feel both depressed and enlightened in under 1 1/2 minutes. Pure genius.

  • One of the biggest reasons that made Queen the most brilliant band ever is the fact that they could compose AND express their musical ideas on their instruments in a huge variety of music styles. I don't know of any other band who did just that, and were as good as Queen.

I loved Led Zeppelin, they too were a band with some great genre variety, but I believe Queen were far better at it.

Probably the only band that can come close, is Toto. They too, are unbelievably good and versatile musicians.

  • massive love

  • 70s Queen might be the most brilliant band ever, or at least one of the most brilliant bands...

  • What a beautiful song only wish it was longer

  • the song of the poor peasant \m/

  • Feels like this song could've been another famous masterpiece like Bohemian Rhaspody if they ran with it.

  • This is the best 1:19 minute of my life I can tell!!

  • this song is sad his life with AIDS its so sad that now a days people dont know real music thumbs up for the people who know real music.

  • Отлично!!

  • Pure poetry.

  • For me, I wish Freddie was alive to see the Philippine prisoners choreograph Queen songs in prison! He would have enjoyed that! Just type "Queen Medley" or "Radio Gaga with Prisoners" and you'll see what I mean! :D

  • @solarDeviant I couldn't agree more, i'm sure Freddie would of loved it! Actually amazing and quite hilarious in parts!

  • I've been saying it for over 20 years now... the best Queen music is NOT on Greatest Hits I, II or III...

It's all of the in-between stuff like this, and the earlier works.

  • I'm crying...

  • @Lulzman69 Type in 'Queen Nevermore' and go to the second video that's posted. It should be the one below this video. Read the highest rated comment by PartyFants. I'm glad he was comforted by Freddie's words.

  • @Yo1969Yo

Yeah, I read it before. Fred's soul will live forever.

  • @Lulzman69 I wish Freddie was alive so he can read PartyFants comment. It would have meant the world to Freddie. His post is the most beautiful comment I've ever read on youtube.

  • @Yo1969Yo Me too...

I've listened to Queen since I was a really young kid. Fred's voice followed me through my 16 years of life.

    He's my idol~

Sometimes, I wish he was alive, even if it was just for a few minutes, so he could see the love we have for him.

  • Beautiful!!! Never heard this song before...thanks for sharing 61rocker!

  • words can't describe the beauty of this song

  • From reading everyone comments below I can tell one thing for sure, "We all Loved Freddie". He admitted that he loved living life to extremes because he wanted a full life, and that probably contributed to him acquiring HIV, partying and work ethic. Extremes are not healthy. A balanced life can be just as rewarding and probably a healthier and longer life. He was an artist and most are passionate about everything they do. They usually live life in extremes unfortunately. We love you Freddie!

  • Some people have symptoms with HIV and others are non symptomatic. Freddie probably had few if any symptoms. It went undiagnosed until 1987 when he had full blown AIDS. He did party into the early monring hours, drink and probably take some drugs as most do in the entertainment biz. He admitted living life to extremes, but also said he could control it and stop anytime. I agree that he caught HIV in the late 70's. Freddie at Wembley 1986 concert looks pale, tired, not himself at all.

  • When I first listened to this, I started crying.

  • After five years, I still find this song one of the best in emotion and the harmonies, Queen and harmonies are like bread and butter, perfect...

  • just epic!!! music of god! is perfect!

  • Majstersztyk:], siły boskie bądź piekielne/nie ma innego wytłumaczenia!

  • queen will always be my favourite band.

freddie will always be my favorite singer.

  • Getting HIV in the 1980's was basically a death sentence. It was awful. I think with Freddie's passing and Magic Johnson's announcement of him having HIV changed many things in reference to treatment in the 1990's. Even though there is still no "cure" for HIV/AIDS the treatment for the disease has greatly improved.

  • Sometimes you wonder that if Freddie had taken a different route with his health and taken care of himself instead of working with Monserrat Cabellet on Barcelona and the Miracle and Innuendo Albums with Queen. He might have rested himself because he certainly didn't need the money, and perhaps by taking care of himself he would have survived long enough for the Anti-Viral medicines for HIV in the mid nineties. We'll never know for sure, but at least he did what he loved most, making music!

  • @MsSweetunes

Man, it wasn't like now. People were dying of AIDS quickly. I guess he got the best medical care he could those days, but it wasn't enough. Looks like he tried to make some more music before the end.

  • @Zuzannaq OMG why dont you read carefully? That's exactly what MsSweetunes meant, I believe.. All she wrote was that if he had refrained from overworking he would have lived long enough to get the treatment. Thats not possible, thats probable.

  • @agata521

Sorry, I don't know Mr. Mercury's biography enough to say whether or not his work influenced his health. I never heard of such suggestion before. I always thought he was unlucky to get AIDS in times where there was no good medication to limit the development of illness. And that near the end he worked with a knowledge he hasn't got much time left.

That's all I wanted to say and I believe it's not exactly what MsSweetunes wrote.

  • @Zuzannaq You basically paraphrased MsSweetunes' comment.

    Look:

MsSwetunes:.".....but at least he did what he loved most, making music!"

You:"Looks like he tried to make some more music before the end."

You:"I guess he got the best medical care he could those days, but it wasn't enough"

MsSweetunes:"perhaps by taking care of himself he would have survived long enough for the Anti-Viral medicines for HIV in the mid nineties"

    See?

and what did you think? that working 24/7 helped him?

  • @agata521

Really, I don't think it's a place for such quarrels, but I still think I haven't paraphrased her... She wrote he could rested instead of working. I meant he worked to create as much as possible before the end, because he was facing that perspective. She wrote he might have lived enough to get new antivirial medicines. I doubted that. I find the whole discussion bit inappropriate, like trying to say now he did wrong? And how could he know the medicines would be invented in 5 years?

  • @Zuzannaq You don't know if his lifestyle didn't contribute to his death either .His friends say that he was not taking good care of himself. Partying, drinking lots of booze ,working too hard. And you wrote"People were dying of AIDS quickly" -is that based on any particular research? Actually not all of them. His partner Jim Hutton for that matter, died last year at the age of 60 so I guess it was not neccesirily a death senstence as some say

  • @agata521 AIDS was a death sentence in the 1980's. In the 1980's the term "HIV" was hardly if ever mentioned. All we heard was the term "AIDS". Now we know that people get HIV first so HIV has always been around. People think you get AIDS first, no you don't. You get HIV first. No one knows when Freddie contracted HIV. HIV is a virus with no symptoms. If Freddie would have contracted HIV the same time Magic Johnson contracted it in 1991 then I'm pretty sure Freddie would be alive today.

  • @Yo1969Yo Freddie most probably contracted HIV in the early 80s from some Russian guy who apparently went to NY and brought it to London. The same guy infected Kenny Everett. I'm not gonna have a discussion about AIDS itself simply beacuse I don't have the required knowledge but I just wonder ,and so I think do many people, if his death in 1991 was inescapable. Thats it.

  • @agata521 There are a lot of 'what if's'. We can't change anything. I'm angry but it's done. Some say Freddie may have caught it as early as the late 1970's. We will never know. Remember, according to Peter Freestone, Freddie was informed in 1987 he had AIDS, not HIV. That means he had the HIV virus for years and didn't know it. It's really sad. Even today someone can have HIV and not know it. That's why it's so important for everyone to protect themselves, men and women.

  • One word: perfection

  • This song is so freakin beautiful.....words are useless

  • your death sent us to the path of nevermore....still love you

  • I'm a fan of all kinds of music (but ROCK speaks to me personally)...but the day I learned about Queen and Freddie, Brian, John, Roger and all of their songs and albums...I just realized that MUSIC was dead a long time ago...

  • Freddie also did the background vocals. Lyrics written by Freddie and music composed by Freddie.

And yes I agree with Queenazing. The day Freddie died was the day music died.

  • Lovely, lovely song!!!!!

  • I´M 36, I´m from Argentina, Queen was one of my first favourite bands, my dad always has loved Queen, now his not here, I´m cryng (Oh I´m a Stones fan, can I?), LOVE THIS SONG AND THIS VOICE!!!!!

    THANK YOU QUEEN!!!!

  • The last 2 notes of this are worth the price of admission. This is one of my fav parts of QII. He was doing so many things on that album that would emerge again on A Night at the Opera. Cool to hear how the ideas seemed to linger and find their way into future tunes. Black Queen has a touch of Bohemian Rhapsody in there.

  • @TruthSurge......You're right. The whole song is like a rising crescendo of beauty, culminating in the last 2 notes of total ecstasy, an eargasm of sorts.....the icing on the cake.....like Freddie himself. First there's Queen, the greatest band on the planet; then there's Freddie.....an indescribable phenomenon of genius, magic, & passion. How absolutely perfect!!

  • @FREDDIEMANIAC yeah, Fred was unencumbered by a lot of the stuff most people burden themselves with. I always loved his softer vocals (love of my life, killer queen, etc). He did that and the harder vocals but I liked those soft beautiful ones best. To me it was magical. The harmonies on love of my life are great. "I still love youuuuuuuuuuuu" chill bumps on the arms.

  • @TruthSurge.....You're right about that....Freddie was one of a kind, no doubt about that! He just knew his destiny & didn't let anyone deter him.

I love his soft vocals, too, but I must say, I love his hard, fast stuff just as well, if not better, just because I love his energy & charisma so much. But his passion in the slower stuff is to die for! I love to listen to Freddie even when he's simply talking; I just love him so much!!

  • @FREDDIEMANIAC yeah, he had that sort of dual personality. Introverted in real life somewhat then on stage POW. haha

  • @m1kewithaone-What kind of a heartless moron are you anyway? You don't deserve Queen!! You're an absolute idiot!

    R.I.P.....Freddie!

  • @FREDDIEKINGOFQUEEN lol, your funny! lighten up , i'm just kidding... "heartless moron" lol, oh, you kill me!!

  • @FREDDIEKINGOFQUEEN my friend freddiemaniac sent me here, i was just teasing her....lol

  • @m1kewithaone you know i was kidding you, right??

  • I didn't want to listen to this song too much incase i got sick of it, but then i realised i could never get tired of something this beautiful

  • I'd give my nut sack just to make this song a couple minuets more longer

  • this short songs by Freddie where unblievably beautiful...the melody his voice....we miss your music freddie

  • This is such a beautiful song. What a magnificent talent Freddie Mercury had xx

  • It's so tragic that this song is so short!

  • Freddie didn't have the voice of an angel...

    at all.

God took him from us so he could give the angels singing lessons.

    RIP FREDDIE! I LOVE YOU!

  • You grow up listening to this, and now this is a part of who you are.

  • love this song :)

  • Freddie Mercury is GOD

    My GOD

  • 19 years ...we still love you and always

  • Absolutely beautiful

  • I LOVE QUEEN

    I LOVE FREDDIE

    I LAVE MERCURY

    I

    STILL

    LOVE

    YOU

  • SUPER, SUPER, SUPER...

  • This song is way too short :(

  • The best band ever...They are just fucking in-humanly gifted. I bet Superman made them in his lab to spread the power of music. QUEEN ARE THE BEST!!!!

  • i love this song ......no more words ......i love u my beauty .....freddie heaven's voice

  • I grow old but this song don't)).

    One of my all-time favorites.

Queen II was the blast of my life becoming musician and understanding genius music))

  • where can i get the guitar tabs (no chords) for this song??

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • Best 1 minute song EVER

  • The entire Side Black (maybe save Seven seas of Rhye) ought to be played as one Epic Piece.

  • damn you freddie mercury.......you have the voice of an angel

  • What happened to brian's face in this picture?

  • When this song is over, I want to listen it once more. When I listen it again, I want to listen again. And again. And again. I could listen to it all day and I would still want to hear it again!! Really amazing!!

  • Oh my God, it's so beautiful!

  • Queen es lo super mejor!!!

  • god

  • this is speeded?

  • Only a select few great bands exist still: Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Aerosmith, etc. BUT NONE. WILL. LIVE. UP. TO. QUEEN.

  • @HarlowJewelryCFBD Stones, Who, Macca, AC/DC, and many other Classic artists are still going strong.

  • @CentraCross HENCE THE "etc."

  • @HarlowJewelryCFBD But not "only a selected few", most Classic Rock musicians still alive are active making new material. But then of course - those not alive... =(

  • I first heard Queen when I was at a record store in 1974. They were playing Queen II and I thought, "who the hell is this? This is great stuff! I turned to my friend and said something like, "Mark my words. This group is going to be HUGE!".

Queen II is still my favorite among their albums.

  • no one in this world has a voice better than frerddie's.

    he was an angel .

    beautiful voice.

oh freddie your voice make me cry

  • Music has been Freddie's playmate, his lover, and his crying towel. .....

  • One of the few songs around that you can put on repeat and NEVER get sick of it

  • This song is massively underrated... it's one of their best.

  • One of my all-time favourite Queen songs.

  • Everytime i listen to this song i cry... it isn't possible that a song can be so beautiful!

  • @makeasmile94 Yesss!

  • God is from Great Britain

  • Happy Birthday, FREDDIE!!!!

My darling, sweet Freddie........my love, my heart, my life!

    We will love you forever!!!

  • TOMORROW IS YOUR BIG DAY..happy to remember, hard to forget that youre gone...

  • R.I.P Freddie.

  • This is one of my fav Queen songs! it's so beautiful and relaxing! rip Freddie

  • This is the pre and better love of my life.

  • why did you have to leave me????

    why did you decieve me??

you send me to the path of nevermore

when you say you didn't love me anymore

    nevermore?

  • if there was ever a death that made me angry, this was it. totally preventable and completely unfair.

  • OUAOU! This song is amazing! Good work, very goood work. They are great. We miss you forever FREDDIE. And we "nevermore" see you. I love you.

  • 0:45 - 1:03 is just to amazing.

  • The day that freddie died was the day that music died.

  • @Queenazing So turn off the lights!

  • @Queenazing , yes yes yes, have to listen to Queen everyday XXX

  • @Queenazing Music never died, as long as we always have Queen, were fine.

  • @SlashWorshipper1993

couldnt agree with more great comment mate , its been a long time now since he left us but as long as we her the music and freddies voice ????? its still there

  • @caldertkd Totally.

  • @Queenazing

...pathetic... and wrong. but whatever floats your boat...

  • @Queenazing YOU DAMN RIGHT, YOU ARE SO FUCKING TRUE

  • @Queenazing You're actually right. After 1991 the quality of the music made declined pretty fast. There are only few good albums that were realeased afterwards. And mainstream music sucked a lot and still does.

  • @Queenazing yeah, 90s definitely sucked... stupid grunge...

  • Fantastic song.

  • why only Freddie the whole band is awesome queen FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @hi75653 .....You're right, the whole band is awesome!!! Queen is the greatest band in the universe, hands down!!

    But.....Freddie.....Freddie is just So special.....

Queen = geniuses, all of them!!!

    Freddie = genius extraordinaire!!!

  • this song makes me cry from the happiness of just hearing his beautiful voice

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful Song... beautiful Voice

  • Whats that on Brians Face?

  • @TheCineMatt his washrag has rubbed off

  • Freddie's voice is so feeric... When he is singing, it's just as if an Angel is singing...

  • @UntilMyDarkness I wish it were a longer song

  • @dowling1981 Dunno.. I'm not sure if the song was longer, it was better... the better things are the shorter ! ^^

  • @UntilMyDarkness It wasn't longer, this is the actual length. You say that better things are shorter - what about Bohemian Rhapsody?

  • @dowling1981 Oh ! but Bohemian Rhapsody is... the exception which confirms the rule !... It seems as if there were plural songs in just one... It's hold by May's guitar, Freddie's voice and piano... rythm is different during the song, feelings are different !

    ... and I seem advertising while I am just a fan... ^^

  • @UntilMyDarkness You don't need to advertise, the music speaks for itself lol. What is your favourite Queen album?

  • @dowling1981 Yes, you're right. but I'm tired that the only songs that people retains are We Are The Champions and We Will Rock You.. Queen is so much !! :)

I think I'm unable to say I like one album more thant another one... I love The Game.. and... A Day At The Races... Why this question ?? You make me lost !!!

    What is your favorite ??

  • @UntilMyDarkness ....I'm with you on that. It's too bad that more people don't know Queen's treasures like this, Ride The Wild Wind, Lily Of The Valley, Fairy Feller's Master Stroke, It's A Hard Life, Misfire, Man On The Prowl, and all the other true gems that only real Queen fans know.

You're right; Queen is SO much more than just their 'hits!' They are spectacular!!!

Like FGOR said, "There's something for everybody!"

    Queen's the BEST!!! :)

  • @FREDDIEKINGOFQUEEN You're right.. Hard Life is a wonderful song... with beautiful lyrics (and an original video clip ! ;))

I'm sad that, being french, I can't understand both of their lyrics... they are my main reason to learn English language !! ;)

  • @UntilMyDarkness I like Made In Heaven, The Miracle, A Kind of Magic, Live Killers, and the Greatest Hits ones. Have you heard of Brian May?

  • @dowling1981 his solos album ?... not yet...
