Have you ever been out of the States? If so would you drink there?
Having visited the states with friends who were under 21, I think it's more frustrating not being allowed to drink if you've been able to do so legally for two years.
sadly, I have never left the states. If I was in another country with a lower drinking age, then I would definitely partake of some sweet alcohol, lol. That WOULD be more frustrating. I feel for your friends.
I agree with your video. I am going to be 29 on the 25th of this month, but I still argue the drinking age. How fucking retarded!!! I think if you can die for your country, you should be able to get shit-faced while doing it!!!!
Your video was fine. I gave it proper rating, especially considering that you did it off the cuff, which you stated. You've won a new subscriber! :)
However, seriously, I do consider, and always have, that men in this country (US) are required to register for selective service ( I think it's called that) ... but, you guys can't have a drink? Our country is so ass-backwards sometimes... What our illustrious military would call a FUBAR!!! My plans are to move to Sweden... musical stairs..GO
Yeah, but he bought it knowing that I wasn't going to drink it till my birthday. I consider it an early present. I doubt the law would see it that way, but they have nothing to fear from me. Thanks for watching, and Happy Holidays to you.
When I tasted it for the first time, I knew it was the drink for me. I read up on it on Wikipedia and various other sources. It's ancient. The forerunner to mostly all alcoholic beverages. Considered to be the most romantic drink in history. But I'm sure you know that already.
It's very hard to find a good commercially made mead. That's because mead takes a long time to ferment and age. When I make mead, it takes a full year before it is ready. A commercial winery does not want to wait that long. Make a batch, and see how much better yours is from the commercial stuff. It's really easy.
I'm getting ready to make a batch of cherry mead soon. I can't wait until it's ready.
kidding aside the raising of the drinking age was all about traffic deaths. Young kids were killing each other in droves because they would drink and drive and the "best" the legs could come up with was raising the drinking age. Traf-deaths did go down but maybe from young people become more aware not the legal-age. I don't really know for sure and like you say once your 21 you wont care as much.
Your problem is your a fucking sissy! Go have a drink wuss-boy! Haha. You only do legal shit??!! BOOORRIIINNGG!
OK OK! I am just busting your balls. Ya know when I was 18 it was legal to drink. Then we decided since we had our fun fuck all the younger people that come after us. Don't buy that "traffic deaths" argument; we did it out of pure spite.
My father was an abusive drunk so I don't drink a lot just usually when I'm going out or a few drinks with friends. Over here in Australia the legal drinking age is 18
where i live in canada, its 18. but i was partying from 14 till now do i was drinking since then lol. from my journey i have learned that some people should not drink because.of the way there personalittys are. then, theres people being stupid when they drink too fast or just too much. just be careful/ be in caution made and don' t go " super far" overboard cause you are drunk as hell. monitor your behavior as much as you can abd just have fun. looking forward too your birthday/ meed day lol.
Oh I agree that some people should lay off the booze. Some people act dumb enough when they're sober. But they should still have the freedom to drink when they are 18. Thanks man, I'm looking forward to sharing it with you.
An an unincorporated territory of the USA Guam and Puerto Rico both do not have to follow Federal Law and so they do not follow the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984.
what a bullshit ...legal age in italy(my birth place)is 18 and you know why?because at 18 you can go be sent to war if you are in the military!what kind of bullshit is this? america can send you to war at 18 and kill people but you can't drink?does it make any fucking sense to you?
No it doesn't. They changed the drinking age here to 18 during world war 2 for that same reason, but I think sometime during the 70's they changed it back to 21. But since our current war is lasting so damn long, I think they should lower it again.
The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 was the offending piece of legislation. Before that it varied from state to state in the USA. The law passed means that states loose funding for things like roads etc. if they have a drinking age of less than 21. This just means that there are lots of 20 year olds experimenting with alcohol in the USA whereas they are 17 in the UK when they start experimenting.
Very informative. I'm still pissed though. but once I turn 21, I doubt I'll care anymore. Perhaps my body will be healthier for abstaining for so long.
The areas of Europe that have low health problems from heart attack, Cirrhosis etc. tend to come from low stress parts of countries - rural areas where alcohol in moderation is a frequent part of the culture. Red wine is on the table all the time and the children drink it as well. Small amounts of wine seem to be beneficial but the problem with the statistics is that the people who abstain are often people with health problems who die earlier from this problems - thus skewing the data.
Have you ever drank beer before? Never had Meed, but I'm going to guess you're probably not gonna like it if it's your first time. Beer is an acquired taste that takes many years of drinking what resembles cat piss to achieve.
Here are a few other limits for you:
Denmark: 16 years old
Sweden for 0.1-3.5% alcoholic beverages: 18 years old
Sweden for anything over 3.5%: 20 years old and only in government controlled liquor-stores called "Systembolaget".
Finland: Almost the same as Sweden.
Norway for beer and wine: 18
Norway for anything over 22%: 20 years old
18 would be a good age, that's when you are normaly considered an adult (who can't have a drink).
16 is to early in my mind.

Mead is good. I make my own with Orange Blossom Honey and vanilla. Good stuff!!!
That being said, you don't want to suffer a mead hangover. Bad stuff.
The history of mead is very cool. It popped up all over the world the at around the same time in history.
