  • Good video, Great goals, good for you and good color on you.

    Pretty blue eyes, wtg

  • You are a Skinny Minny, Jes! Congrats on your year & running. You're a champ! :)

  • I love your focus on health. I also love your thoughts on your goal. Mine have evolved in the same direction. I have stopped focusing on an acutal number and will just keep pushing 5lbs at a time until I feel I have arrived. It will be a combination of health, how I feel, and the way I look in my clothes. Keep posting about eating 75% raw. I am interested in this but not ready to take the plunge yet.

  • I know may have wanted the scale to move more but Imust say YOU LOOK GREAT! so dont beat yourself up, you are not alone my wt is higher now than jan 1 2011 but we must hang in there.

  • Hey Jesica, you have great goals! i tried to start C25K in 2011 but I hope to start it this year. I've never been a jogger but there is hope this will change, lol. Purple looks great on you! Have a wonderful 2012 and Happy New Year. Thank you for all you do & the support you give out. You were one of the first ppl I came across on YT when i stumbled across YT WLS community by mistake back in Jan 2011. Love Sarah

  • great video--- I think having your priorities in order on this journey---health first- especially choosing( by educating yourself) on whole foods- clean eating - not having non nutritive "quasi food" as a part of our regular eating- keep growing inside and you will be shrinking on the outside!

  • @cabernetqueen Ah Sally, you my friend always say the most profound things... I love it! Thanks so much for being a shining light in this WLS community! Love you to pieces!

  • Great Goals! 2012 will be a great year!!

  • @julzbandedlife It is great to look forward to a new year with new goals in front of me :) Thanks for supporting my journey!

  • Great goals. Thanks for sharing. All your running times and distances on Facebook inspire me to do better and try harder. I am so slow right now, but its nice to know there is hope for me :-)

  • @blessedmom2fourkids Ah you are too sweet! I have followed in the footsteps of many runners before me and I am glad to hear that my running inspires you <3 You have more than hope, you have ability and determination! Shine on! :) ((hugs))

  • You really have some great things to look forward for 2012. It's great to see you working on running times and specific eating goals. For me as far as the "number on the scale" I wont allow it to define me. My weight goal is now more of a "feeling" if that makes sense. Cheers to you and hoping that the new year is everything you want it to be.

  • @MsOverweighted Thats right, we are more than that darn number on the scale! Thanks for your support as always, you rock!

  • @70nicoya You know I <3 you and all the things you do to support me and my journey! (hugs)

  • Great Goals...you can do it.

  • @texasmom2011 Thank you :) I am going to go after them all and do my best!

  • Great Goals!!! I love your attitude!! I hear ya when you say you could hardly run 1 minute I am having trouble with 3 minutes but I am going to keep pushing I have seen so many of you make it I know I can do it!!! Thanks for helping drill that point in we can make it!!!

  • @BandedLoretta It gets easier! I promise you that. I still have some days where running feels difficult but then I have days where it seems as easy as walking so I just keep pushing forward and searching for goals to meet and beat! You can do it! Keep doing your thing and you will be amazed at what you are able to do! ((hugs))

  • So great to hear what you have planned for this year. I am interested in your raw food goal as I too want to eliminate processed food from my diet. I am going to post videos on different foods as I explore them and ways to boost protein content. It is going to be a great year for you - help your daughter set her 2012 goals. They dont all need to be weight related - you are a huge inspiration to her. God Bless Jess!

  • @ChewTheRightThing Ah those processed foods are EVERYWHERE! Learning about our food sources today is just frightening and I need to continue to educate myself and make the best choices for me and my family! That will be a win win for all of us. It will be nice to bounce ideas back and forth as we continue on this path of healthy eating. Thanks for supporting me and my journey!

  • WOW! Great goals Jes! And a great explanation on the scale and the number! Great Video!!

  • @candj1977 That darn "number" on the scale... I am trying to stay focused that it was never the source of my feelings for wanting WLS to begin with... I am just going to keep on fighting to become more and more healthy by doing the right things for my body and health and that number will land where ever. :) Thanks for being a great support on my journey as it continues on! ((hugs))

  • Great goals. Helping your daughter can be a difficult one but probably the most rewarding one you can attempt.

Teen girls are so fragile yet so hard at the same time!

    Happy New year!

    Have a great run

  • @lapband23 That is one goal that scares me to death. I wanna help her in the right ways but I struggle to know what those "right" ways are. I want her to be all that she can be! Thanks for your support as always! You rock!

  • All those race goal times are very do-able! We'll get you there! Very happy to hear you talking about getting a bike. Maybe you'll do a triathlon? I will try not to push you too much, but I am very partial to triathlon LOL. Great video!

  • @shrinkingfatchick Oh you so know I am "thinking" about the possibilites! I am not sure about 2012 but 2013 is looking promising! I think I need a virtual trainer, do you know anyone? ;)

  • @IntriguingOne Any distance, any race, let me know if you need training help,I can give you an outline of what training to do to reach your time goals.I just have to know when and if you do strength training, since we will have to work around that.I dropped weight training last year to pursue the podium, but that is me,and I don't expect anyone to follow suit. There aren't many running races in Texas in summer, but there are plenty of triathlons!

  • I understand this video 1000%. Healthy first. what ever else happens is a bonus.

  • @NorthernSutherner You got it! Onward to HEALTHY we go! :)

  • What a wonderful video. I loved all 17:35. You will reach every single one of those goals, Jes. I know it. Sub 2:00 half is YOURS! I have the same goal. I don't have a set marathon time - I just want to finish. Thank you for being a huge part of my 2011. You are a wonderful, wonderful person. I have the biggest hope for Cheyenne. You look super pretty, too. Purple is your color! love you girlie.

  • @losingitwithrebecca Aww you are too sweet! I have loved having you as part of my support group. Thanks for always listening and being supportive to me! We are going to nail this sub 2:00 hour half marathon chica! :) 2012 is going to be GREAT! ((hugs))

  • I can so identify with your feeling of being happy in your skin.... So much of what you said in this video touched me. I'm glad to be back on you tube.... Good luck to you ! Thanks for inspiring me in the running department. I too thought it was not a possibility. the 'minute" run was horrible, seeing you do your thing gives me hope.

  • @melijean36 Thanks Melissa! I know we all can relate on so many levels and I dont know what I would have done without people like you on this journey! You guys have all been my rock and my soft spot to fall! ((hugs))
