i found a great way to kill these littel bastards too but i had cyrstarium at 10 (lvl 5) to do it i use lightning, snow, and fang and used syn/sen/sab lignting syn snow sen and fang sab you dont need a medic just dont bother with snow since tonberries take your buffs off evertime they hit you with the knife also use enfire or something then change to rav/rav/rav and it will be like they wern't ther at all

I pre-emp'd them,

Party of Fang, Hope and Snow.

Thundaga staggered them all,

Then Relentless allowed me to kill all before the first stagger.

theres an easier technique to this fight,

use cerberus (three commandos)

use lightning fang and snow and get a preemtive strike

you should beat them in just over 30 seconds

Why is everyone whining so much about this mission? Just supernuke one of them, once its down, keeping up buffs is much easier.. Just have haste and protect up the majority of the fight and its really easy

i used sazh instead of hope, but i had most of his buffs that hope had. i was at about 2700 str and 17000 hp with fang so i killed them all before they healed. and they call that rank A.

Here's another way to kill them:

use fang/hope/light with relentless assault

use Aegisol, Fortisol, and Decepticol

use Quake to stagger them

kill with relentless assault

when the second ones half way down w/ his hp use army of one

finish him off then use two quakes

i did it in less than a minute

My trouble is that I can only kill the one Tonberry and then never have enough time to work on the second before he loses his stagger. I never have enough Fortisol or Aegisol. I know you can buy them, but they are pretty expensive, especially just for one.

A question....

To save space, I save my game on one file (I don't save multiple different spaces).

Is it necessary to save in multiple spaces to level up?

that should kill all and possibly leave one..

stagger should be still be on so battle in rav/com/com until it depletes, then switch to rav/rav/rav and it will most likely die before staggering but it shouldnt be too long

oh and btw, it will totally heal itself:( which suck a bit.. but anyways

use med/rav/com to heal every now and then:D

battle team: vanille/light/fang.

tp at least 4

use rav/com/com, rav/rav/rav, and med/rav/cam

use deceptisol and the one that gives you haste=]

then in battle use quake to stagger, and quickly go to summon (as vanille) battle until the bar under her name is full (should be extremely quick so dont worry)

very quickly press x and go into the special mode thingy:) and use the special attack that use up all the point thingys;)

i beat this in 45 seconds characters had 6000 max hp so anyone could do it what i did is i had Vanille Fang and Hope start of with rav rav com Vanille is your leader then you need to get a preemptive attack and have 4 TP to make this work if u dont then it wont work at all and u wont beat this very quickly. So when you start off with the preemptive attack you use the ablility Quake it will slow the down the stagger and most likely two or if lucky all 3 will get stagger

then you cast Vanilles summon since the tomberries weakness is earth Vanille summon will do a shit load of damage to them now make sure you get Vanilles Gestalt bar full once its full quickly as you can and press square because the stagger bar wont be up if you wait for the whole summon to attack now just keep pressing X for all of the summon Gestalt attacks if the stagger bar is about to run out press triangle your last attack which does 350000 and up of damage which if lucky kill all of them

There's an extremely easy way to do this but it needs 4 TP.

Lightning = Party Leader

Use Deceptisol before the battle, or try really hard to get a PS.

Use quake the moment the battle starts, this should stagger all 3 of them.

Summon Odin, attack with AoE moves for 3-4 rounds, then use his final attack.

My time was 30 seconds.

Lightning: Commando

Sazh: Commando

Vanille: Saboteur

There's an easier way to do this:

Use Light/Fang/Snow with Cerberus - COM/COM/COM

Use Light's Lionheart for quick Stagger

Use Aegisol, Fortisol and Deceptisol

Insta-Stagger them with 2 Blitz's

Then focus on one, Fang & Snow will target the other two

I did it in less than a minute, with a target time of 33!

The trick for the preemptive attack worked perfectly thanks =) (although all I did was quake right away to stagger them all and then went to town with my Fang. She is way too strong for this >_>)

Your strategy did not work for me and I was stronger than you too. I cannot afford shrouds nor can I find them. So the preemptive strike option is out of the question.

use as many abilities as you can and it should hit them all then use the final ability thing just as they are about to unstagger =] (i used vanille)

One can finish the 3 tonberrys in 33s. Just get a pre emp and use 3 coms. they will keep the chain up but never stagger. the tonberrys will die in 33s. Very easy way to do this

i killed the 2 tonberrys and got the 3rd one to very low life and as he was about to heal himself and take my health i used army of one on him. he managed to cast it on me, our lives were going down but before he could heal himself he was dead :)
