I think Marc's logic is a perhaps little fuzzy here and there.

I don't know how I really feel about the CIA being involved in drug smuggling, though this would all be simplified in a legal marketplace. Both the Taliban and the CIA would be cut out of that uncontrolled funding mechanism.

I didn't really say anything about the CIA, so I don't quite know what you're agreeing with.

A lot of people, when talking about the idea that the CIA is trafficking drugs, focus on the drugs, as if the CIA is CREATING the market that they're selling to. I don't buy that.

What I focus on is that it can provide an autonomous offshoot of a state an invisible, unregulatable source of funding. The drugs don't bother me at all. Someone will sell 'em, whether it's marijuana, heroin, or cocaïne.

First of all the governments banned hemp and cannabis so they can profit trillions from oil. It wasn't an accident like they claim.
