I think their message is that "THIS IS HOW THINGS ARE. SOME LIKE IT, SOME DON'T. BUT ULTIMATELY AMERIKA IS WITHIN ALL OF US, A ROUGH EQUIVALENT OF THE HUMAN ID" Considering they are from east germany I'd say they are not partial to the 'Amerikan' way, however as a pop-rock/metal band they are obviously rich and famous as a result of this way.

Hence the lyric: "I don't sing my mother tongue." Look around the world and see how American culture has become so pervading across the continents - that's what the song is saying.
