@b25softball Sorry for the random reply but I remember in one of his interviews he mentioned how early in his career he didn't have much of a say in the direction of his music, and he hinted at the fact that he was just given lyrics and asked to sing them rather than be given the choice of what he'd like to talk about. Afterwards he says that's changed and he has more say. So i'm assuming that from what was initially given to him, he was able to understand and form his own style.
