I am inspired to build the Ffarquhar Branch, for the United State version on a couple of '2X'4 sheets of foam board. I know it's copy righting, but I think it's a good idea to make a U.S. version for Train Shows and what not. hope it's cool with the reverend. I'll change my mind if he haunts me tonight
There's nothing stopping you from making your own version of the Ffarquhar layout. It wouldn't be identical anyway, as you would not be able to reproduce all of the buildings unless you made a concerted effort to do so.
@Colonboy234 it was filmed at a model railway show in a transport meusem. I've got the footage of the other layouts aswell. Might put them up this weekend.
@crazyracer12 That remix I made myself using Audacity, I wanted to make it sound like a girl was singing the chorus, but i'm not so sure if it worked that well.
nice, i knew that the layout still existed but I wasn't expecting it to still be running. I'm a little surprised to see the Jinty Thomas though, I was under the impression that during the 1980s Wilbert Awdry replaced him with one of the Hornby E2 tank engines.
yh that sucks sorry to hear. im trying to make a ffarquar layout for my ertl collection. so far i have thomas' branch line sheds leading to a station (the 1 on the cover of thomas and victoria) which leads onto the mainline layout were gordon and express stuff is. it was very hard to make the slope with trucks ontop of it. the ones that are next to the sheds.i also made a little passthrough to brendam docks. there is only a cranky, some sheds and trucks there though
Cheers dude, this vid was a rare privelidge indeed, gratefull, I thought all the engines looked rather fat! Probly cus they were old, I dunno, but was great to see the layout running mate.
Any chance I can rob the Sonic/Streets of Rage Remix off ya, was bangin' that.
i think they look fat cos of the screen/camercorder has filmed everything slightly narrower than normal. I have seen footage before and the locos dont appear as fat/ squashed
Great to see The Reverend's layout in action, it shows that you can create something amazing with little space as opposed to an unrealistic continuous oval. Where did this take place by the way?
WOW I wish I could of been there I looks amazing and it still runs after it how old... and all the engines look great to. Oh and nice filming it's smooth and not jerky like my videos are at the moment.
I bet that if Wilbert Awdry was alive and saw what HiT Entertainment has done to his series he would faint!

@whitehousefilms- And the music at the start? I've never heard of it.
super58173 1 year ago
What's the weird music at the begining?
super58173 1 year ago
@super58173 its the music that was played at the begining of story time with Thomas the tank engine with ted robbins reading Chrisopher Awdry's books

capmodesty 1 year ago
@capmodesty The original Thomas model was just a blue Jinty. he was drawn as an E2 in the books for some reason of which I do not know.
RedGemAlchemist 1 year ago
@RedGemAlchemist I knew he was a jinty but Awdry did acquire an E2 that he turned into Thomas in the mid 80s
capmodesty 1 year ago
3:36 is that a jinty?
kirbyfan600 1 year ago
@kirbyfan600 maybe, 1 time Awdry's Thomas WAS a Jinty painted blue

thomasandtencents1 3 years ago
Anyone else noticed how Thomas doesn't have his extended tanks and looks more like an unmodded E2 or a repainted Jinty?
RayTheTrainEngine 3 years ago
Must be Awdry's 1st version of Thomas I expect
