  • I miss you much!

  • I'm hoping you're still out there somewhere--miss watching your vids. Hoping you aren't thinking you've failed--it's not failure, it's a learning curve. Wishing you luck with the Lyme's Disease.

  • :), 2011 is almost over, my my, where did it go? I do hope all is well :)

  • Hugs god bless y

  • I feel bad probably being one of those ones who vanished. How have things been going since you made this video?

  • dont diet change your lifestyle eating habits start with basics of exercise u just need to keep pushing yourself until its a habit and u should realize how this unhealthy food is making you and u need to let go of the past it takes time hope u read this.....

  • this is the most boring piece of shit ive ever seen

  • WHY U ALL LEAVING LONG COMMENTS?!?!?!?!

  • Ive had to research what Lime disease on google.. Bummer,, My prayers to you, Everything is going to be well.. I think your a strong woman

  • I wouldnt be too hard on your self about not loosing the weihgt the way you wanted too. with your madical problems i think you have done well to get this far..... its so hard to stay on a diet all the time even im flagging now....... Its a shame your thinking of stopping making your videos because i look forward to watching them, iv been coming on week after week saying that i havent lost anything either, this is what it all about, it not about failing it about getting through it together xxxxx

  • It takes a strong person to open up about those issues. I would hope that you continue your videos, even if you talk about what kind of activity or food choices you made over the week. Just like you told me in my video, it's about the long haul. I wouldn't try and set your weight loss goal to a schedule. We didn't schedule the gain, but it still happened. What's important is that you work towards making better choices everyday. If you do that, then you will continue in the right direction.

  • Hi Jen, I hope you don't quite doing videos. Weight loss is really is a tough battle, especially with something like Lyme disease. Hang in there.

    -Doug

  • I am sorry, weight loss is a hard thing. But we are real people and have real struggles. I enough watching your videos and would really miss them. I am sorry to hear about your illness. I can imagine the toll that can take on you.

  • please pay no mind to stupid people... im a recovered cancer patient and my weight problem started because of chemo.. I dare someone to tell me that it was my fault i was sick at 5yrs old. I give u props for getting up and trying some people wouldn't.. just keep going hun. Its ur choice if u want to continue with yt but i love watching u. Keep going and dont put faith in numbers. focus on being a healthy you.cause sometimes when u do everything right u may still end up seeing bad numbers...

  • Sorry to hear you are struggling.I hate the way people react when they are told something they don't understand.People can be so insensitive.Sometimes I understand ignorance from children and teenagers but adults should have some empathy and consideration.I've just been reading up on lyme disease and I think your doing well with what you have to cope with everyday and I admire you for being able to post this video.I would still watch you talk if you changed your channel to something else.

  • If YouTube videos weren't fun for me, and didn't help me with my eating behavior, then I wouldn't choose to do them. There are many other kinds of online support available. You will always be welcome to make comments at DietHobby, both at my channel and at my . com site where I write daily articles. My best wishes for you.

  • @weightlossfordudes

...information is a documentary called "Under Our Skin", a documentary that was nominated for an Oscar in 2009 all about chronic Lyme disease and all the controversy surrounding it and its treatment.

As for the weight loss, I think Youtube is doing a pretty good job giving some interaction with people and feedback from all you guys. It really does help. I don't think talking to you guys is much different from weight watchers. Except it is free! LOL!

  • people are jerks one thing life is like a tree you see the fruit hanging and we pick the right fruit nice and huge and ripe well so it is with people you pick the ones you agree with and benifit you and reject the negetive ones.i struggle too last night i ate a big bag of Doritos damn but i enjoyed it lol. whole bag but im going to get up and do better next time im tempted lol. dont be to hard on your self. ;)

  • @trex457

    Good analogy, and so true!!

Those Doritos are deadly aren't they?? I always have a hard time saying no to those!

  • @ObeseToSlim they taste so good lol.

  • wow girl, iim so sorry, i would have never guessed that you had that. :( i just wanted to say its okay, no judgement here, we all go through different strugles in our lives, some tougher than others, and also that i enjoy watching ur videos, i watch every single one of them!. LOL. i really do.! :) i hope u dont stop making videos. :)

  • @lizlivelife Yeah, I'm pretty good at hiding it. A lot of people in my day to day life don't even know. I just felt like I had to tell all you guys because it is making a drastic difference in my weight and ability to lose it. I felt like I needed to let you all know why I am throwing away the timetable.

Even if I stop with the videos I will still be watching and commenting on yours, so I won't totally disappear, don't worry :).

  • @ObeseToSlim aww but u have been doing good so far, when i first started working out, i didnt loose any weight!!. for the first three weeks!!!. it was sooooooo frustrating, cuz i was giving it my all, and not getting any results!!!. it takes ur body some time to get used to it, but eventually it does, and plus what you have makes it more difficult, =/ ur just gonna have to keep on pushing forward girl, u cant let the scale define u.

  • ...appointments with a dietician, or something. It takes something to break us out of the broken record, same-ole/same-ole stuff.

I wish you luck and feel free to email me or contact me on FB whenever you'd like, I'll always be here for you. Take care.

  • ,,,sleep without constantly medicating for it, and even with the meds my sleep is not very fulfilling and I'm tired for a good portion of the day. So I totally relate to you when you talk about having a small reservoir of energy to spend each day, then it's gone.

I'd say take the time you need for the weight loss. I've never believed in setting time-targets for this. Also it sounds to me like having an in-person interaction might really help you, whether it be weight watchers or maybe...

  • ...me to cause the weight gains as well, and I've tried to cover some of them via YouTube on private videos with only a few people granted access. I have gotten some really good feedback but even with the filtering I get one or two folks who just don't get it or downplay it somehow.

I guess one question I have is, is there no cure for the Lymes? Is this the same disease as from tick bites?

I fight with fatigue too but from very different causes than yours. I have anxiety which prevents...

  • @weightlossfordudes Cures for Lyme disease are extremely dependant on how soon you catch it. If you start treatment immediately, a few months of antibiotics will do the trick. The trouble is if you don't treat it right away it gets a hold of you and becomes chronic and far more severe. Treatment for chronic Lyme can run for more than a year and cost at least 100,000 dollars. Since my country doesn't cover pharmacare, no treatment for me. A really excellent source of...

  • I can understand the reluctance to do videos. I find them hard to make on a regular basis (as in daily) for emotional reasons. I just feel that it exposes a lot of me to potential criticism or mocking and it isn't easy for me. A lot of the "followers" out there, I've found, don't really care about me as a person and it's all just some kind of spectacle for them.

Weird the kind of reactions you get to the disease. WTF?? People are assholes. There are many things that have affected...

  • loveen, do yourself a favour, and tell every single one of those idiots who say that the reason your sick is because of religion or because you dont have a positive mentality. what a pack of retards.

i know exactly what you mean when you say people dont believe your sick because they cant see it on the outside. i go through that every day, even with my family. and because i force myself to exercise and im getting into shape, they think im mr fit. well im not, im still sick and it sucks :/

  • @DaveyLoosesWeight Don't worry, I know all those guys are idiots, but it can still be hard to take when you hear it for the millionth time. I know you have your own health issues... it must be very frustrating for you when your family doesn't believe you! I am very lucky because my immediate family is very supportive. I don't know what I would do without them.

  • @ObeseToSlim

they know im sick, they just keep forgetting that i am because they cant see it on the outside. and your lucky you have a supportive family, i kinda do too, but as i say, they just keep forgetting im ill and treat me the same as they always do. which is: dave get me this, dave fix that, how do i work this , will you paint my hallway, i need a cabinet made etc etc. i have a good mind to tell them to f off and do it themselves but they are good to me so i cant complain :) lol.

  • Hi Jen. I can tell you are having a tough time right now. I'm glad to hear you will not quit. Please don't stop making videos! I know it's really hard when we are struggling. Sorry to hear about the Lymes disease. My brother has MS and has a world of info on the subject, and I remember him telling me something about Lymes disease (I think). So if you'd like, I'll ask him what info he has on Lymes and I'll send it to you.

I'm pulling for you Jen and know I'm here for you. Big hug for you!!!

  • @myfatlossexperiment Sorry to hear about your brother... it is a really horrible way to live. Thanks for the offer for the Lyme info, but I don't think I'll need it. I pretty much know what there is to know about it.

    Thanks for the hug!! :)
