  • people who didn't take higher chemistry or further, should not be allowed to bitch about videos.

  • what were the ratios that you used?

  • @pyroboy571 potassium permagnate you fucking gimp!!!!!!

  • Nice for a homemade volcano to

    scare up the neighbourhood! >:D

  • needs more oxydizer

  • if you took magnesium shavings and kno3 plus sugar you can make an instant smoke bomb cloud. 2 parts sugar 3 parts kno3 and 3 parts magnesium powder = big flash plus insta smoke

  • @AzNFudgeman I blew up my kitchen

    last year... Is that good.....?

  • Groovy! a lower grade (than standard) thermite.

  • Try mixing powdered aluminum with iron oxide instead I forget the ratio but its called thermite. It will continue to burn even under water and can melt right through a car's engine block. Oh did I mention its legal to own and use in most states.

  • @kurisu925 Where do you get iron powder

  • @racoon8838 In mine it is iron oxide. Powdered rust basically. You can buy it online in large amounts.

  • @kurisu925 I know what iron oxide is i was asking iron powder.

  • @kurisu925 why, is it because their is more energy than usual for them to brake away wich in turn compensates by continuing to heat up? correct me if im wrong, im just very curious as to why such a dangerous compound\mixture is so avilable and easy to obtain!!

  • @MeLoveBonesTv because thermite is often used in the welding of large pieces of metal. Such as repairing broken train axels for an example.

  • @kurisu925 Oh! Thank you for clearing that up! I was very curious!

  • for ratios try using equal weights and equal size piles

  • @pyrocrazyUSA if i didnt know the correct ratio i would probably test a very small amount rather than accidently melting my face off because i was over confident!!!

  • Sweet, dude. What were your ratios?

  • it would be cool if u used iron oxide

  • It wouldn't actually do anything, those are both oxidizers, with nothing to burn on.

  • what is the percentage berween iron and Kno3?

  • Barium nitrate would be more interesting. Take boiling saturated KNO3 solution and add to boiling saturated Barium chloride. Barium chloride is cheaply made from muriatic acid and pottery grade barium carbonate.

  • what did u use fir iron pwder

  • whats ure ratio?

  • thats almost what a sparkler is made out of just add some magnesium and a binder i think its clay

  • sparkler is made out os bariumnitrate and iron. binder is dextrin

  • great!

  • use a bit of surgar (c6h12o6) + kno3, or just do a thermite reaction much more fun.

  • Where'd you get the potassium nitrate from?

  • stump remover. but you have to look around a bit because some states make it illegal for non-expert-stump-removers *sp* to carry

  • you need some ammonium nitrate and potassium hydroxide (easy to get)

take about 5 grams ammonium nitrate and place in beholder, then some water on to dissolve it.. thn you take your potassium hydroxide (OR sodium hydroxide) and dissolve that in some water too.. now mix the 2liquids, and then just cook it away, at the bottom when you have cooked all the liquid away, you will have potassium nitrate

  • Or just go to Lowe's and buy Spectracide brand's Stump Remover. It should be in a black or gray bottle, and weight one pound. It is pure Potassium Nitrate.

  • im not sure theres any Lowe's in denmark? >_> potassium is a controlled chemical in denmark..

  • @antiswattt Wow! thats weird that "potassium" is a controlled "chemical" (potassium is an element) in denmark because potassium is part of our diet! Ever heard of vitamin K, you freaking genius!

  • @MeLoveBonesTv

vitamine K is not K for potassium you freaking genius

but actualy can be regulated in some countries in metal form, but i doubt it can be regulateds as nitrate (in mexico even sedena have it in the list of regulated substances)

  • how did you ignite this mix? i tried but couldn't ignite it even with visco fuse.

  • A sparkler will do

  • try 6 parts magnesium powder and 1 part baking soda.. it burns hot -to ignite with (:

  • my teacher just did this in lab today, was pretty cool.

  • my teacher just did this in lab today, was pretty cool.

  • sooooo... you oxidized iron using kno3 as the oxidizer? what was your ratio?

  • and?

  • I think, that it is nice.
