  • Rose-Ringed Parakeet's. Bakersfield, California.

May 25, 2011-Rose Winged Parakeets in my back yard

I just took these pics tonight of the Rose Winged Parakeets that have been living here for years. They are so beautiful! 5-25-2011.

There's SO many different birds in my yard. One of God's BEAUTIFUL creation's indeed!

  • Sunflower seeds are what I feed mine in Florida. They love them! I am a bit jealous that you have Nuehaus Chocolates at your door step and I have to wait for Saks to carry them during the Christmas holidays. Their white chocolate is the BEST!

  • These are most certainly Quakers, They are beautiful!

  • your deep breathing is turning me on! lol

  • These look just like my quaker parrot at home! He talks all the time and says dozens of crazy things. He says "Fight the power!" before I go to work every morning! They look just like him.

  • just wanna go out there with a shotgun and shoot all of them... <.<..

  • nice and beautiful video ,I have four of those the're very intelligent birds. one of my quaker parrots play the drum when I play the guitar. :)

  • What a wonderful video. I would love to have a sight like that in my backyard. Thank you for feeding them as all God's creatures need some assistance from the human world. As a previously stated, ignore those offensive comments. They are idiots! I'm a bird lover myself and am owned by 2 Caiques, 3 Cockatiels, 4 Budgies, along with feeding the wild birds outside. Please continue your good deed. Thank you!

  • Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

  • This is absolutely beautiful. I bet they cause a racket sometimes. They have probably multipied since their release in 1970. How long to the keets live in the wild? My budgie Just had her first egg today. I bought a nest box a month or two ago. And finally one day they went in the nesting box. I placed inside the cage. What worries me is the egg was lad on the wood floor of the nesting box. so I placed some paper towel that I cut up into strips for her. I believe she laid an egg.

  • Thank you for sharing such a wonderful video. It is heaven on earth to have so many happy parakeets in your back yard. I truly enjoyed it. Thank you for providing such haven for the birds. Please ignore those offensive comments about killing them or selling them. Please continue your good deed. Thanks again.

  • get some and sell them lol

  • What kind of feed do you put in the feeder?

  • Sunflower seeds seem to work best

  • Careful: Sunflower seeds can cause liver damage in parrots if they make up a large part of their diet, and often cause health problems for parrots in captivity. These birds probably have other food sources apart from your feeders but it wouldn't hurt to switch up the food inside from time to time.

  • QUAKER BIRDS! omg catch one, they can talk really good!

  • Birds raised in the wild generally don't adjust well to life in captivity. Besides which, in most areas where feral parakeet populations have established themselves it's illegal to keep one of those species as a pet. Parrots do make wonderful companions (provided they're well cared-for) but if you want one you should get one from a pet store, a breeder or (preferably) a shelter, not from the wild.

  • Aww, that's wonderful

Does it get too cold in Brussels?

  • whoa thats soo kool

  • I own a quaker!!

  • so many birds, how do u take care of the load of shit they produce?

  • wow thats all i can say wow

  • What are you feeding those birds

you could serve a few of them up in place of a thanksgiving turkey

and what is with the spooky breathing?
