Stockton is the greatest "pure" point guard ever.

Magic and Oscar could play other positions and were triple double threats. But for "real" point guard play (passing, scoring when necessary, pesky defense), Stockton was clearly the best.

And I didn't have room to mention...ALWAYS a tripleheader on Sundays, sure as the sun was rising in the East. Get home from church, listen to that awesome music called Roundball Rock, and get set for some basketball.

And there was NBA Showtime, and the Prudential Halftime Report. Yeah, Rashad kissed up to Jordan at times, but still it's better than anything Disneyball can offer today.

It's a complete outrage. There was NOTHING like watching the Rockets stomp someone down at the Summit on a nice Sunday afternoon. Or watching a critical Western Conference matchup. Or watching Jordan at MSG, or watching Penny fake someone out of the gym.

Great intro to Game 5 of the Finals, John Stockton was great in game 4 but MJ beat y'all for the title, including the performance that I think will be remembered as one of the greatest.
