It's also the safest because you don't have someone who's drunk behind the control stick.  And pilots (even private pilots) are trained to a significantly higher degree than 99% of vehicle drivers. The average pilot is a professional. The average car driver is an amateur by comparison.

Frankly, a car seems much safer to me. An airplane crash is much less likely, but in the rare case that it DOES crash, you're a lot less likely to survive it than if you were in a car.

This test was technically a failure .The jet fuel has a new additive that was suppose to suppress "misting" or the jet fuel ...or its ability to ignite uncontrollably. Plus they were trying the measure the strain experienced on the passenger seats. The remote control pilot has a problem at the last second and the plane landed 200+ feet to short, yawed, and the obstacles were supposed to cut the wing...not the engines.....But yes..they did learn some lessons, just not what they were hoping for!

Now, if they said "the least fearful" experience, that would be okay for you to dispute.. But it's statistically true that airplanes are safer than cars.

I looked it up on Wiki - the 720 is a variant of the 707. It was originally called the 707-020 but then they decided to call it the 720 later on for marketing purposes.

they could have, but there's the matter of setting up all of the remote control stuff, and the cameras, because you cant fly blind. They probably had a crap-ton of stuff in the cockpit, so they could control everything. would be kinda hard to get all of the necessary stuff onto a plane.

Why go through all the trouble of secretly installing remote control on a plane so that the crew can't discover it, and then crash it with passengers and crew on board? Don't you think any of them would be panicked or do anything in the minutes it takes for the plane to leave it's proper flightpath and head first for NYC then straight for the towers?

Why not do it with an EMPTY plane instead? Or maybe the official story's right?
