I have this DVD, its brilliant listening even if a bit low budget :D "Here Comes Everybody" is the first song i heard by The Wake, i always get hypnotised by it, the dubby bassline, the sad minimal atmosphere and that kind of toned down guitar. Brilliant- a band completely lost in time and under appreciated.
NOOOO 'here comes everybody' all the way, it has the studio version of this song, with the brilliant song 'oh pamela' and the inclusion of their 1987 ep that will blow you away.
i have the studio version, I just feel it is a bit depressing, I like their more upbeat stuff, which is also depressing but toe tapping depressing which is what I like.
The intro, i repeat, is just great tho!!
Cant believe you get thumbs down for expressing an opinion!
this is the bassline used on the harmony album rather than here comes everybody. i think i prefer the later one.

@UltimateVenom These are the lyrics from that version, as well. I wonder when it was modified to the album version?

Thanks for sharing this, The Wake are too obscure despite their brilliance. Well gloomy.
I recommend their 'Harmony' cd, (featuring this song) to all.

Blimey O'Reilly it's Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream fame on bass, before he turned into a right twat.

It sounds almost like it's going to be quite a jolly song at the start with caeser playing guitar, quite odd.
