  • this is fucken cool. too bad i cant afford the school

  • I use Adobe Flash CS3 to animate. . .I have no idea what Maya is. = (

  • @StudioHizu Flash is for 2d animation and maya for 3d XD, But it has very much great capabilities and is the industry standard package...Currently the No. 1 XD

  • The one at 3:21 is really entertaining.

  • wow everyone is a great animator!

  • 1:14- what movie?

  • Hello I would love to attend animation mentor! I really wanted to learn about 2d animaiton rather than 3d animation because 2d is my passion.

  • 2:53 manfred ragossnig....AUSTRIA, VIENNA :D

  • Does Pann State University offer any good animation classes

  • dude an icelander :O the first time i see someone else than me to do animations :O

  • im 15,is it ok or do i have to be 18 or over..

  • does you have to be 18 or over to join? because i'm 15 >_> and from Finland,i speak English quite well tho

  • @zykafryydi You do have to be 18 to join!

  • THESE ARE AMAZING "these hands, are going to break every bone in your body *click*... later"

  • I'd so love to take part in this course, looks absolutely fabulous.

I'm not very experienced with Maya though at the moment, so looks like I gotta teach myself before I even consider this.

  • @mikasaka Hi! We do not require any knowledge of Maya for our admitted students. We just want to see if you have the passion and drive to become an animator. We offer a Maya Springboard class to admitted students that need a little extra boost in Maya.

  • @AnimationMentor did u model this character in maya?? and plz if the answer yes.how did u?? am beginner and think this whole thing is hard but i really love animaiton and modeling and rigging all of this stuff so plz would you help me....how can i model a charcter like that.or like the charchter the animation mintor use?? i have maya 2011 only i heared i have to get zbrush or mudbox help plz and i got the adobe master collection all i need is THE RIGHT WAY TO START...thanks for this video

  • @mrgiloz This is our proprietary rig that was created for the use of our students here at Animation Mentor. We do not teach rigging or modeling here, instead we focus on the art and craft of animation.

  • @AnimationMentor ohhh i see oki :) will done btw

  • how can i find thier tutorial..

  • Hi Joe,

We are an online animation school, offering an 18 month program focused on Character Animation. Check out our website for more info! animationmentor(dot)com

  • @AnimationMentor I have a quick quesiton. Is Penn State good for a Animation College like you are showing here? Is it a good art school too?

  • Animation Mentor rocks, I was at the Art Institute of Portland for a couple semesters and took a break to get married. That was 3 years ago,

I was signed up to start last year, but was in a very bad car accident, can't sit for long periods, but just finished a year long physical therapy and hopefully will be signed up for the summer classes.

  • If I can humbly make a criticism. I think you need to cut the reel down. 6 minutes..dude that's far too long.

  • @PoliceCadaverDog It's not a single persons reel, otherwise your comment rings true.

  • its not 1 guy's reel dude

  • Fucking brilliant. All of it.

  • I've really been considering going to your school, but my mom and I are concerned about it being an online school, that the hiring rate wouldn't be very high. :<

  • when it comes to art, they hire you based on your showreel, not on the school you graduated from. Showreels from AM are incredibly good.. You'll be one of them, has to be awesome

  • @StudioVibe

I've read up a lot about animation mentor. I believe the hiring rate is somewhere between 70 and 80%, maybe even higher. I've signed up for classes this coming January. I already took their Maya Springboard course and find the program to be amazing. Read up on it a bit more, do your research. Honestly, in my opinion, the students' demo reels I've seen are superior to many other schools' I've looked at.

  • actually. the hiring rate for animation mentor is over 90%

  • OMG 4:11 sound is from Harold & kumar :DDD

    all are great

  • WOW. Did the students do the modeling (of the objects besides the rigs), texturing, and lighting in addition to the animation? How many hours a week did students work on these projects? Dang they're good.

  • animation mentor provides all students with pre-modeled/rigged characters that resemble rigs you would find in professional studios.

go to animation mentor . com

  • sweet

  • I was wondering what the first song was and where i can find it

  • @syrus638

I would love to send you a link to it, but every time I try to reply i get "error, try again" as a response.

  • im very nervous at the metting tonight

  • All very good animation , but the advanced editing is soo cool ! :D In 3:59 really good animation ! O_O

  • Is Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i have one question is this made of maya because i want too make one?im 11 years old to make one

  • All of our students do use Maya to animate!

  • LoL@ 2:53- 3:09

  • cute haha 0:59 double agent

  • cool animation online program u rock a ques do u also teach animal motion also during the clases or just character

    ???

  • the song name?

  • It's Animation Mentor "Only" Rig mate... they provide you with it if you take the class.

  • any 1 kno where u can find that rig?

  • unless you know somebody at AnimationMentor who's willing to break the rules (which is VERY highly unlikely) you're probably not getting that rig

  • Yea nice!!!!

  • Utterly inspiring.

I hope I can learn such quality animation techniques one day.

  • the reason that the textures are complicated is because the models are provided to the students. this school focuses 150% on the actual ART OF ANIMATION. Its a really amazing program... I wish I could take it :(

  • is it really an online course??? i go to an animation school.. those works are really good.. the textures dont seem to be too complicated.. but still the work is awesome!.. ;)

  • Yes it is really online courses.

  • great animations!

I'm still working on a masterpiece on maya...

i'm working on the movements of the charater's body.

  • the potato in the beginning is funny

  • zomg! this video is just sooo funny and kool (gr8 graffikz) it can make any moody grumpy mopey person be happy agen gr8 job on it!! =Þ

  • really cool, expensive course tho

  • Most likely they use either Maya or 3D Studio Max or both. Not suprising that the big companies would use the same software concidering that those ones are the industry standards.

  • Damn, isnt that just awesome!!!By the way what software is the course based on?

  • their site said Maya

  • Wow that's cool.

  • perfect job ? yessssssssssssssssssssss but i want make beter thing one day lol

  • very nice... there are candys in this animation?..jeje it's very sweet ...and delicious video jajaja ... ok bye visit my public channel

  • great

  • -Check out the Grad film FAVELADOS from the AIB-

  • this insperats me :D also.. the song is awsome :P

  • Yeah, the song is amazing. I've been trying to find out if the song for the first half is made FOR the reel or if there is an album of that type of music somewhere.

If anyone knows, PLEASE let me know. I just love it.

  • ye!

  • I think Carlos Baena does the music. He is one of the founders of AM. Unfortunately, he probably doesn't release it.

  • Hmmm.... I love it too! Does anyone know any other music that is either similar to this or by the same guy? I WANT THIS MUSIC!!! :)

  • After doing some digging, it turns out you're right, it is Carols Baena. Thanks for the answer. I'm gonna try emailing him later and see if he'll post it on his site. He has other music he created on there.

  • Any luck? I just visited his site as well, but there's no way to actually GET it!

  • is animationmentor a program? :O

  • Nah dude, it's an online school of animation.

  • dammit :S

  • Hehe, it costs like $3,000 to go there for a year or something. But it IS pretty awesome.

  • well.. O_o 3,000 dollar is ALOT at me :S

  • Same.

  • :P im from sweden... as.. that guy who made the fishing one :P

  • Awesome

  • Is that a kind of summary of what futur "dream makers" will do after their studies? Great! Look forward to go to the cinema and see it! :D

  • i wanna do this when i grow up check my really bad animation response

  • OMG LMAO!!

  • The one at 1:09 was made from someone from Manila,Philippines... IM FROM MANILA PHILIPPINES ! IM IN OZAMIZ CITY NOW!

  • The ending song what is the name of it?

  • where can you get these classes I want to be a animator and this could help

  • Is it 3ds max?? or maya? pls answer

  • It's a school. They probably are useing there own programs and things.

  • I'm in animation school, and we use Maya. I haven't seen any schools that invent their own programs, especially when the ones that students will be using in the industry are readily available.

  • Oh, i thought they did, My bad. I personally use Endorphin & Blender as my animation programs. Should look at my profile, although it's probably not as god as your doing but I'm planning on getting there :)

  • Oh, i thought they did, My bad. I personally use Endorphin & Blender as my animation programs. Should look at my profile, although it's probably not as god as your doing but I'm planning on getting there :)

  • I've heard of those but never used them, so I can't really comment... but you should try Maya. It's pretty much the standard for a lot of the high-end stuff and I know you can stumble across a copy of it floating around the web somewhere. Or try 3D Studio Max, its a lot like maya and many people swear by it. I'm not such a big fan of it myself, though.

  • Maya

  • freakin amazing! Lots of great work here.

  • always a treat. :D

  • Lol, i loved 2:15.

    keep up the good work.

  • wow, this is awesome! makes me more excited for my first term this coming jan '08! i can't wait to meet the rest of the community. thanks and more power!

  • Wow, bobby beck in person commenting here

  • Actually the Spike Intro was done by one of our graduates, Brandon Beckstead who just got a job at DreamWorks Animation. Woo hoo! The end Spike Animation was done by another one of our graduates, Chris Mullins who is now working at Tippett Studio.

  • yep! this is why I choose to go to AM! Were all getting quality work like that. Their so much great stuff at the school that it's impossible to put it all in the show reel! Congrats to all the lucky ones!
