I saw this band live in 1987, they were the support for Bon Jovi @ the Sydney Entertainment centre. At the time, I'd never heard of the Choirboys, but it always stuck in my head that the lead singer introduced this song, by saying "we're now about to do our future #1 single". I'm pretty certain this song chartered @ #1 for about a week in early 1988. What a fantastic song.

Every time I ever heard this song at a club or pub I was able to form a circle of eight or more people and just sing our throats sore. They just don't write them like this anymore. An absolute classic!!!!!!!!

Anyone out there who went to Jannali Girls High School - Sydney NSW back in 1988 you might remember when we won the radio contest & these gusy played live for us, this was great day & still seems like only yesterday when they played this song. A great aussie band/kiwi band

I saw this band live in 1987, they were the support for Bon Jovi @ the Sydney Entertainment centre. At the time, I'd never heard of the Choirboys, but it always stuck in my head that the lead singer introduced this song, by saying "we're now about to do our future #1 single". I'm pretty certain this song chartered @ #1 for about a week in early 1988. What a fantastic song.

@Pervologist - you are correct. its stayed at no1 on the aussie charts for 2 wks actually...i was also at the bon jovi concert back in 1987 & they were the support band for them.
