I've been looking for this forever! I remember her performing this and this is before I ever heard of her or Nelly furtado. I ended up buying both of the their records after this. But Jill Scott kills it!

Jill is so damn good that I don't really even like buying her records (though I buy them) because she tones it down on the records. I enjoy her live performances where she lets it rip and I've seen her live so many times. I wish she had live performances made into records instead of studio performances. Most of these artists today sound better studio than live, jill sounds excellent on record but she 'unleashes' her power live and that can't be captured in the studio.

I don't know about yall, but I got the impression that Aretha didn't appreciate this awesome performance. Jill outshone Aretha that night. Jill took a sledgehammer to that stage and got snubbed at the end. Jill is truly one  of the Greats! Thanks again for posting this!
