I've never heard of an Earth Colander. I'll look into that. How often should you harvest a full colony? I have a lot of roaches (1,500) that are popping daily into adults and I've gotten them separated. Already witnessed them mating. B. Dubia are what I'm propagating. Feeder food for lizards.
So, i guess that he puts all of his roaches into a bottle with little holes which are used by little nymphs to get out of the bottle whereas the big stages stay inside...
But my question: why do you seperate them once a week? Are you just feeding the nymphs?

The easiest way is to use a (earth) colander through which only small nymphs will suit...
