Count the ammount of times he was intentionaly walked and add that number to the ammount of chances he had to break all the records; he would have done it years before. Weather you believe him or not; he was still one of the greatest if not; the greatest. And if you don't believe that he was the greatest; he's still in the top five of all time. I believe it was his Godfather; Willie Mays; who was the greatest. I was in town and at the next days game.

Too bad he cheated with 'roids. Bonds was one of the real greats, but without 'roids he would NOT have broken the record! How many days did 'roids help him recover? How much more strength did he have at key at bats that put the ball over the fence. Yes, you have to be great to connect, but the difference in performance *before* and *after* the 'roids in BOonds' case is VERY telling. He won't make the HOF n our lifetime, and Aaron and Ruth are STILL the record holders *without* an asterisk!

I believe he use the cream and the clear as alledged but that was tricked into using it by his strength coach. That guy should be jailed, not Barry. Barry wouldve made the 500-500 club as the only guy ever without the drugs, but maybe only wouldve finished with 650 homers then...I think Barry wouldve taken that over this mess.

Bonds might have even made it to 500 homers if he didnt take steroids with his kind of skill, before he took steroids. Hank Aaaron is still the homerun king. And Pete Rose and Sammy Sosa didnt take steroids. if he did, hed probably have more than 700 homers. Pete Rose Achived his record of most hits with hard work like Hank Aaaron did.

Actually I have played baseball my whole life so yeah I do know a little bit about the game. Steroids do not give you better hand eye cordination or timing to hit the ball or being able to react from a 90 mph fastball to a 75 mph curveball. Steroids may have helped him hit the ball 500 ft but without them he would still hit those 400 ft homeruns like he did before he was on them.

Steroids do not provide a difference between 4 and 500 feet as you dumbly put it before.. they assist in recovery and make an otherwise tired and injured athlete-into a superhuman one.also your assesment that steroids dont help eyesight.well barry also took HGH which has shown to increase one's eyesight-documented in Game of Shadows his eyesight was markedly improved over 99- '03 and thats from team doctors. read the book.if roids didnt help athletes- THEY WOULDNT RISK EVERYTHING TO TAKE THEM!
