@babygirlkayleigh1 Longtail and Rusty battle and eventually, Longtail gets ahold of Rusty's collar. It chokes Rusty for a while but is then pulled off. When this happens, Bluestar stops them, saying that the snapped collar is a sign from StarClan that Rusty should join the Clan. Rusty steps into a sunbeam and, because his pelt looks like fire, he is given the name Firepaw. Rusty does become Firestar in the Darkest hour-the last book of the original series. Hope that helps!
