Just screams and uninteligible words, with some kinda of "guitar". Richard had pick it up and made it a real music, agradable and with meaning. So, yes, there are improvements. If you like SOAD, you're probably a 14-15yo boy stressed with your parents. Face the truth, they are not musicians, just random screamers.

I love the notion that somehow "lounge music" and "jazz" are mutually exclusive. I guess if Count Basie is playing in a lounge he can't be performing jazz. And any recordings of Dean Martin or Bing Crosby can only be called "lounge music" because it can't possibly be called "jazz." Brilliant! "Modern jazz" has far less in common with ragtime than pop, but we still call it "jazz."
