Thank you so much for posting this video! I watched it the night of 9/11 and have always wanted to see it again. The day of the tragedies ... I was out of town. I got in my car and drove back home ... a four hour trip listening to Sting the whole way. This song in particular.

Yes people forget that 9/11 attrocities were acts of terrorim not acts of war (as many people believe them to have been be), and as such I have to wonder if the attacks had occured elsewhere wether they would have effected the world to the extent they did.

Terrorism is acts of aggretion (bombings, murders, etc) by militias and factions (eg the IRA in Britain, basque separatists in Spain) who's aim is to ultimatly overthrow and replace the rule of law with their own beliefs.

In italy during the cold war, the communist party was gaining power and votes. until "somebody" (They said an extremist group of the communist party) put a bomb in a crowded train station. They first accused the left extremists, then the right extremist. Only recently it has been aknowledge that it hasn't been neither of them.

I too am a professional musician/songwriter and like Sting from being young to mature so has the subject matter and meaning of my songs. We're all human beings, that's what this song is saying, no matter what atrocious, sinister act you're caught up in it's all a huge sin and abomination. We as human beings need to love, and if we can't love at least respect one another. We can agree to disagree and can confrontate with no violence. At the end of the day there is still peace. OMG! come that day.
