I've tried so many of the white or clear tanning lotions and have always and i mean always ended up with streaks on my legs or blotches and dark spots. I've been wanting to tan at the salon but i want to go a more healthier way.. I've purchased this tanning lotion and i'm so excited to start! @arthurrr2006 Yes, i would recommend putting on lotion first, on elbows, knees, feet and then apply the tanner so less product collects in those areas.
and yes, you can tan after - just be sure to apply an SPF!
You mentioned that you used to wear the bare escentials self tanner. In your opinion what made this one your choice over that one. One thing I noticed is that I received an email from Sun Labs and they had a buy one get one free. So I'm up in the air as to which one I should invest in. I like your honesty in your videos so looking forward to your opinion.
I want to use a self tanner but the problem is I have a job where I am constantly moving so I sweat. I also work out and sweat. Do you know of any good tanners that are sweatproof and wont rub off on clothing? I used to use jergens natural glow, got pretty good color from it, but then I did a work out and it wiped off all over the towel and I was pale again :(
I wanted to try this one but when I checked the ingredients, there were parabens. But I've been using a self-tanner called Toma's Total Tan and it works great and I checked the ingredients and it is paraben free! You should try it :)
Please check the ingredients of the self-tanning lotion. Katherine from Wildkatmakeup just reviewed this product and showed that even though the front of the bottle says paraben-free, the ingredients on the back did contain methylparaben and propylparaben...she held the bottle right in the camera and showed it...

This is the best self tanner I have used..you described it perfectly..the smell is a cheery/almond smell and it does have that same self tanner odor after it sets a while..very natural looking tan..I have not tried the brush and omg I have to get it..did you say you got it on qvc? I have tried the foam paint brushes before..that is what came with my Fake Bake I ordered before..it worked ok, but not like this one I'm sure..thanks so much
Hi Jen, I love the Sun Lab self tanner. I found mine @ Ulta. Better prices on the website though. It gives me a reddish tan which looks so much more natural on me. Love your top for starters...Tanning! omg..I remember lazing on the beach when i was a teenager and gettin 3rd degree burns Youch...My mom had to call the doctor as i could not even walk to to pee,it was so bad,i beetcha i am gonna pay for that big time......Blisters from head to toe,i was 15, now @ 46 i am showing signs..Beware Ladies..Yay for self tanners...Stay outta that sun unless you slip,slop,slap...Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat, Slip, Slop, Slap!

I love this product but for some reason when I apply it the next day my tongue is black or dark brown, the color goes away but, do you happened to know why that happens and if I can do something to prevent that from happening? ?

Sun Labs has only positive reviews - I think they work really hard to advertise because some brands, like Fake Bake and St Tropez, seem to overshadow other amazing products like the Sun Labs - especially the exfoliator which is incredible!

I just bought the xen tan stuff, but I NEED a big ol bad boy brush like yours!! I'm on the hunt big time. Your tan looks so pretty!! I hope this stuff I picked up turns out that pretty..we shall see, but I'm not gonna try it until I find some sort of brushypoo to use with it. Not a bad price for the whole kit. Maybe they'll add a brush after your review! I've never used a self-tanner since waaaaaay back in the day when I turned myself orange :)
Using a brush like that really is the best way! Ever since I saw your video from last year explaining how you do your self tanning, I've been using an old kabuki brush by Bare Minerals. What a great technique! I hope they sell the brush you showed by itself. Im looking into that right away! Thanks Jenn :)

@courthef111 it won't come off immediately but prolonged water time will cause it to start to fade...so you will need to reapply when necessary

how long does one application last? i mean, when does the tan fade away?
that color looks great on you. it looks natural.

@linamarquez it will last about 5 days without reapplying,,,it just starts to fade like a real tan

Normally not into self tanners..but this one sounds interesting..great review and will look into it. I am sun girl..I know..I know..but it is my guilty pleasure reading a boook by the pool n getting bronzed!

Sun Labs has only positive reviews - I think they work really hard to advertise because some brands, like Fake Bake and St Tropez, seem to overshadow other amazing products like the Sun Labs - especially the exfoliator which is incredible!

Thanks for the honest review! I am definitely looking forward to your self tanner overview. Question - do you think this is better than B.E. Faux Tan? I have been using that one for like 7 years and think it is the best I have tried - but if you think this one is better, I'll give it a shot.

@stuffstuffstuffyay ugh - that's the hardest part - basically I become a human pretzel! LOL but i did see this thing that they sell now where it has a long handle and a pad to reach your back - gonna look into that.

I've got to order this! I've seen a couple of reviews on it but you sold me! I LOVE the brush technique. I've got a flat top kabuki but wish it was bigger. Maybe they Sun Labs will see this and start making one. Also I saw the comment about Leann, thanks for posting that I'd been wondering where she was. I just bought the xen tan stuff, but I NEED a big ol bad boy brush like yours!! I'm on the hunt big time. Your tan looks so pretty!! I hope this stuff I picked up turns out that pretty..we shall see, but I'm not gonna try it until I find some sort of brushypoo to use with it. My hubby just saw you in this video and he said "she's a pretty girl" and I said yes I know.

Great review Jenn . I am a HUGE self tanner. Going to try out a spray tan soon, as i want that all over tan .. (not like anyone ever sees my body) haha.. but i like the all over .. any recomendations? xox

Not a bad price for the whole kit. Maybe they'll add a brush after your review! I've never used a self-tanner since waaaaaay back in the day when I turned myself orange :)

Using a brush like that really is the best way! Ever since I saw your video from last year explaining how you do your self tanning, I've been using an old kabuki brush by Bare Minerals. What a great technique! I hope they sell the brush you showed by itself. Im looking into that right away! Thanks Jenn :)
