If you look, it looks like the fretboard extents further near the high e... and I know Hamer makes some weird guitars with 27 frets... IDK tho, I might be wrong ;)

I could, of course, be wrong but I think it's "just" a normal 24-frets Hamer with a single-coil in the neck-position what, maybe, makes it look like a 27?

27 fret necks tend to have other kind of frets at the end...

Shredding is not inmature, i am 17 and i have been playing the guitar for almost 4 years now, though people are usually surprised when i tell them i've been learning for such short time. It is all practice. Now, if you begin shreding the same shitty pentatonic scale combination youve played for 5 years in a row, THAT is inmature (you only do it to show off speed). Shredding (or just going fast WHILE SWITCHING MODES is the real deal. Try it out and tell me how hard it is (the mode changing shred)

i can tell you 2 things, one: the right hand, should be more in a Carlevaro way technique, only useful when you play clasical music, so, this is not very important, just a suggestion.

the other thing is the left hand, and this is crucial if you wont to get the shining guitarist aura ;), the hand must be outside of the neck, and the fingers must tap the strings the abovest way you can. I suggest you to see how it does jhon petrucci or richie kotzen, cause my inglish it's a crap indeed, and, not always, but in this case, see it will be better than read it.
