I have an i7 quad core (@3.6GHz) and two GTX 560 Ti's, yet I get like 6FPS.

Take a look at the stats at the end where it shows the percentage. You'll notice it says Expert.

Are you playing using the controller or a guitar?

The emulator doesn't support the guitar controller, so this was played on a standard dualshock 2.

As long as you have a DVD drive in your PC, you can run any PS2 disc on the emulator with it. ;)

Well, our minimum requirements at this point is an SSE2 capable CPU (Pentium 4 or Athlon 64 or higher). Also, a graphics card supporting pixel shadin 2.0 or higher is required. Given your specs, you may be able to run a few games at a good speed (FFX, etc...), but Guitar Hero may be sluggish, as in order to achieve a playable speed, I had to overclock my Core 2 Duo E6600 to above 3 Ghz.

I usually set my bus and memory speeds on a divider (at the moment it's on a 3:2 divider). This allows the bus speed to be increased while running the ram at stock or slightly lower speeds. This in turn cranks up the CPU speed, as processor speed is set by a multiple to the bus speed. In my case, if I want to get my E6600, I have to set the bus to 335 Mhz as my processor has a multiplier of 9. 335 (bus speed) x 9 (CPU multiplier) = 3.015 Ghz. Normally my bus is 266 (CPU is 2.4 Ghz stock).

Just be sure you have adequate cooling before you start pushing speeds up on your CPU. Heat is something that needs to be taken into high consideration when doing this. Get a copy of Core Temp and keep an eye on your temperatures. If it starts to approach the TJunction levels, you need better cooling.

my brother played with the Dual Shock controller before we got a 2nd guitar and we never tried, but I'm wondering...

If you just hold down a button, will hit hit all of the notes that come by on that fret? Cause if so, that would explain how you do it, and if not...wtf lol.

Nope. Since there is no strum bar, it's played in the style of DDR (aka: hit each note as the come separately). Holding the button while a note passes will cause you to miss it. ;p

Yeah, this was played using the regular Dualshock controller, since the emulator has some problems with using the guitar controller.

If you have a 7000 series GeForce or lower, I suggest gsdx9. It has a few graphics bugs (minor ones) that ZeroGS doesn't have, but it's much faster (at least for me it was).

You might have to wait for the next release of PCSX2 then. This video was on an unreleased beta of 0.9.4, with some fixes done to gsdx9 as well. Just be sure DC/MTGS are not enabled when using gsdx9. If that doesn't work, it's probably not going to. As for BIOS, you should only be using one dumped from your own PS2, so don't ask questions like that here.
