The only thing I'm concerned about is the freedom of speech, religion and freedom of the people. Would it be possible to acheive the utopia of an equal society, as desired in communism, but still have it actually be a republic, where such freedoms can be guarded from the government? I really would like to know, as I know I am a socialist, and a proud one, but I'm not quite sure I'm a communist as well until I can clear this up. Can anyone help me out here? thanks

His constant overruling of his generals, especially on the Eastern Front, cost Germany the war. The German military was far superior in terms of tactics and intelligence. The Soviets should consider themselves lucky they made it out of that war in the condition they did, which was still poor at best. They should also thank the U.S. and Britain.

For me, my parents were in the soviet times, and they only built weapons, and weapons, and weapons. My Dad worked in a factory to build sub-boats, secrets only. What about Chernobyl nuclear reactors? the soviets never told anyone about the disaster, they had to find out something like that happened.

What happened in past wars actually helped the human race survive longer. think about it, if there were no wars then how would we be able to sustain and provide for every person in the world. We would run out of resources faster. we are not perfect. we have to keep the population low to survive. One thing I've always wondered, if communism is so wonderful, why must it always be imposed at the barrel of a gun? Why is it not freely chosen by the majority of citizens as an economic model? Russia got its ASS kicked by Japans empire in russo-japanese war, Japanese had the best navy at the time & USA took them out almost singlehandedly, then we made them the 2nd largest economy

@starscream372 The only reason the Soviet Union was able to defeat Nazi Germany was due to Hitler's incompetence as a military tactician. His constant overruling of his generals, especially on the Eastern Front, cost Germany the war. The German military was far superior in terms of tactics and intelligence. The Soviets should consider themselves lucky they made it out of that war in the condition they did, which was still poor at best. They should also thank the U.S. and Britain.
