i think it was very good the woman was trying to protect the store but she could have racked up charges against herself here. 1, she detained you can not detain people unless you do a citizens arrest which requires witnessing a felony. 2. she pulled a gun on unarmed people one who was running which means he wasnt a threat to her safety. i dont think she acessed the situation right in this instance and im all for gun im actually a member of the pink pistols but u must learn how and when to use em
i dnt understand...........so technically they weren't armed just acting suspicious? Wait...she pulled a gun out on unarmed people? thats serious u gota be sure before pulling the gun out shes lucky the cop gave her a warning becuz here in s. florida u can get up to 5-10yrs in jail for pulling one out. They were most likely drunk and acting stupid. I still think what she did was smart cuz u never knw who is who.....shes lucky the cops were on her side.
whereas I refuse to be a victim, I'm not sure the deadly threat of force is justified in someone stealing a bottle of liquor, but serves the idiot right...
She did everything right. If one of them had tried to attack her, she would have been justified in shooting him, too. Great to hear her boss is pro gun and allows her to defend herself !
A: thats Liquor Dicks B: its not in the best neighborhood so what do you expect, C: If a clerk drew down on me for shoplifting (cops can't even do that on a misdemeanor) I would have run. And sued if I was shot...
FYI: Only pull a gun out if your life is threatened. I don't know about Topeka, Kansas, but in my state it's illegal to draw your gun if your life is not in danger. If she were in my state she would have gotten in trouble, but fortunately she wasn't punished.
So if the guy ran away instead of waiting while the police came, would she have shot? I have problems with the possibility of someone killing another person over a bottle of liquor. That's why businesses have insurance to cover damages and theft.
Well she would have shot him in both legs so he couldn't run and then both arms so he'd drop the bottle and not try to grab his gun and then she would shoot him in the mouth so he couldn't backtalk the police or her and afterwards i gaurantee he will have learned his lesson and will never be able to steal again because there is nothing threatening about a man with no legs or arms and cant talk. Just like one used to get ones hand chopped off if one stole in the old days it just gets shot off now
I'm glad that she didn't need to shoot anyone.

This is a good example of how guns--even when not fired--can reduce/prevent crime.

Nice - i like how they said "just be trained" not - give them your money and do what they say. That's the usual idiotic stance.

People like you always have problems with others who stand up to these low lifes, until it is you who is attacked or robbed!
By catching these two, who knows how many other robberies she prevented?
Good for her!!

If they had been "two BLACK men" would the newscaster have said "the two BLACK men"?
I doubt it. That wouldn't have been politically correct.
Thank you and congratulations to the clerk. WE NEED ALL GOOD PEOPLE TO ACT AS SHE DID. (But, SHOOT next time!)
