This promo was taken by Kim and Oliver, The Little Mermaid, Oliver and Company, All Dogs Go To Heaven, The Black Cauldron,The Great Mouse Detective, Mermaid and the Company of City, Another World, K-9, Turner and Hooch, The Nutcracker Pince, The Wizard, Little Monsters, and more 80's films and television series.
CBC was fantastic in the 80's, what a great time to be a teen in Canada. I still remember that episode of the Nature Of Things. I wish current TV was half as good as it was in the 80's.
Does anybody know the name of the announcer here who was the "VOICE" of the CBC for many, many years, and now he no longer does it. He also did voice overs for Hamilton Beach and Oral-B products, too.
That was Relic with Cyril. Funny how similar the two of them were, wasn't it?
The "Sesame Park" Muppets now reside in the Museum at the CBC Broadcasting Centre in Toronto, along with Mr. Dressup's Tickle Trunk, Casey & Finnegan's Treehouse, the original trolley from "Misterogers", the Friendly Giant's costume, set, and puppet friends (Rusty, Gerome, Angie, Fiddle, and the Rooster Band), and other treasures from children's TV.

Sweet. Was that Relic with Cyril Sneer? Wow. I was ten when this promo came out. Times were easier then, in different ways...

Wished I was there! Funny I hardly watched too much CBC then, but it had been available on my cable for decades.
